Beatrice and Eugenie banned from Ascot

Beatrice and Eugenie have been banned from the royal box at Ascot and from royal events in the foreseeable future. That's according to a headline in the Daily Mail. A little part of me feels a bit sorry for them as they're not their parents. I don't like them much but they do seem to symbolise all that's wrong with the royals. Money and immense wealth and priviledge for very little return.

They are not working royals so shouldn't receive this privilege. They are also named in the epstein files and went with their mother to see him after he was refused from prison. They where adults by this time, old enough to know what he did and old enough to say no

I think this is the right decision and likely more to come out on how their lifestyles pre marriage were funded, I also felt uncomfortable with the video clip of eugenie blanking Kate on her first royal engagement in the early days, by eugenie.

overall how involved they were, who funded them, needs to be answered, and if I was Charles I’d do the same rather than risk further embarrassment.

There needs to be a fair old shake up within the royal family

The whole ascot / royal season needs a massive head wobble imo. It just doesn’t sit well with the rest of the work the RF do, the top hats etc are just way OTT. I do get ceremonies etc but the races is a social event and it needs modernising etc. this comes from someone who is in favour of the RM but they need to modernise. And they can have that advise for free 😬

If that’s the way the Ascot event runs, then that’s the way they should dress. They’re not the only ones in top hat and tails.

Banned from Ascot or not invited to the royal box? I don't think the royal family would invite me to their fancy seating, but I'm sure I could still show up to ascot and have a flutter, and that B&E could also. Non-story.

I would imagine that will be very upsetting and humiliating for them. It’s definitely the right thing to do. On the Times royals podcast they were saying that W pushed for Andrew to be dealt with much more thoroughly back in 2019 and was ignored. He is likely, I think, to be quite brutal in his treatment of the York family.

Unfortunately they are likely to be influenced by their parents and have apparently enjoyed hospitality in the ME so that has potential for further scandals.

They should drop their titles and live non Royal lives..no freebies or introductions in the ME

Royal Ascot is huge annual event. People dress up and spend a Cart load of money.
Local people are hired to work there, and they earn money which goes back into the economy. Why should it be "modernised"?

It would be annoying not to go to a light hearted social event that cousins and Aunts and Uncles are attending especially if one always used to go. As it goes on for 5 days not to include them on one seems harsh.
Space is at a premium so perhaps Zara, Mike & others are being included.

Their life as I see it has been one of luxury, partying , expensive clothes and holidays. All the trappings of wealth. Financed it would now seem by the ill-gotten gains of their parents.

The whole family - Sarah , their 30 something daughters ( they are not ‘girls’) Charles , William , should all be actively helping police enquiries if we are to take this mea culpa at all seriously .

Why is it stupid? They strike me as being as lazy and entitled as their parents. I’m not a huge royalist and think the whole system needs a shake-up, removing some of the ridiculous privilege from these two seems a good start.

Exactly. One of them had 17 holidays in , I think, 2025 while supposedly being a ‘busy working mother’ according to something I read on here.
