Beatrice and Eugenie banned from Ascot

Beatrice and Eugenie have been banned from the royal box at Ascot and from royal events in the foreseeable future. That's according to a headline in the Daily Mail. A little part of me feels a bit sorry for them as they're not their parents. I don't like them much but they do seem to symbolise all that's wrong with the royals. Money and immense wealth and priviledge for very little return.

I find it so annoying they are excused like ditzy, dumb 19/20 yr old girs who didnt know any better when visiting the convicted paedophile. They were young royals who recieved the best education and will surely have been coached in how to judge people they met / avoid being exposed or taken advantage of given their status as princesses. Relying on their parents judgement at that age is no excuse. IMO they either didnt care or knew there were wider benefits to this relationship. Im not baying for blood but they arent worthy of being princesses of the uk - they are quite frankly an embarrassment- and should gracefully step back.

They may have had good education, but I’m not sure they are over endowed in the brain cell department. Not that being as think as mince is an excuse for consorting with paedophiles.

If it’s true, there is quite an irony on them looking down on Kate for having the wrong sort of parents, isn’t there.

Not sure which thread to mention this on.

Entitled is on a Kindle 99p deal at the moment in case anyone is interested.

Who is running to stay with Harry?
I've missed this, I've googled but can't find anything

It was in the DM article linked up thread. Harry has allegedly offered that Beatrice can stay with him and Meghan to escape the current pressure they find themselves under.

Having listened to ‘Entitled’ it’s as clear as it can be that they’re in large part funded by Middle Eastern cash. Not a decision they made as ‘girls’. They’re as dodgy as they come and would seem to have learned at their parents knee.

I haven’t read that yet but I do wonder re Ascot if something is going to come out about their finances soon. Beatrice in particular seems to have spent most of her adult life on holiday.

diddl · 01/03/2026 15:44

I think that they probably weren't aware of what was going on with Epstein.

But since they must have been they haven't done enough/anything to distance themselves.

The interview that B had a hand in.

Was she aware of what would be sked & how he would answer?

If so how could she not have realised how badly he would come across.

he went to see JE to end the friendship personally as he is "honourable".

I mean come on!

I always thought that a n indication of E & how she sees herself was that she insisted on a carriage ride after her wedding.

I know it was covid related but I did admire B for her small wedding & borrowed gown.

Was there some controversy back then about AMW?

diddl · 01/03/2026 15:47

Beatrice in particular seems to have spent most of her adult life on holiday.

She was seeing someone called Dave Clark for a long time.

Not sure if he was wealthy.

Agree with this.

so this learned behaviour from their wider family - banned from going to the royal box, in the royal enclosure, and spend time with their wider family, I guess it makes sense...somehow

@SuperSange
The Yorks are not the only Windsors with links to Middle Eastern cash .

I didnn't say they were? Apologies, I though it was a thread about the Yorks. Silly me.

They are not banned from spending time with their family whay are you talking about. Not doing public engagements with them doesn’t mean they are banned from spending time with their family.Confused

Oooh really!

It was in the Telegraph that William gave Charles an ultimatum: Either Prince Andrew becomes Andrew MW or Prince William walks out!
There is no love lost, it seems.

That’s just so the minions see William as the future strong king who will supposedly shape the monarchy. Drivel that has been spewed since he married. The same drivel will start with George st some stage when they start on his PR campaign.

here.

if you meant spend time with their family in the enclosure you should not have used a comma.

It's not Eastenders so I doubt this is in any way true.

If it's anything it's a nice bit of PR showing how strongly William.(supposedly) feels.

TheAutumnCrow · 01/03/2026 17:15

Beatrice and Eugenie both have university degrees from good universities. They can hardly play the ‘thick as mince’ card, much as it would suit them to try when the shit hits the fan.

THisbackwithavengeance · 01/03/2026 17:18

Theyre both married to rich men and have had jobs in the past. What do you expect them to do? I feel bad for them. It’s not their fault.

My2cents1975 · 01/03/2026 17:52

Ascot and other society events are the least of B&E's worries. They should be looking to see which relatives can take in the kids if mom and dad are detained by Great Uncle Charles' government.

While B&E are not responsible for the sins of their parents, they are certainly responsible for their own sins. Neuroscience generally aligns with age 25 as the time when executive brain function is fully online. As adults nearing 40 and having interacted with the world for over a decade beyond the age of 25, B&E can hardly blame their admittedly dysfunctional upbringing for their choices in their thirties which included B setting up that infamous interview and the pair of them accepting cash and luxury gifts plus whatever else is not yet public.

And it is likely as more information comes out and there is more scrutiny applied that there will be a justified reckoning.

CurlewKate · 01/03/2026 17:57

I don’t think it’s fair to blame them for their parents’ behaviour. But they were obviously into some dodgy deals of their own in the ME….

I’m not so sure they “play” the thick as mince card, it’s just who they are. Chips off the block. Rich people from private schools going to uni isn’t proof of intellect.

I thought they paid market rent for these properties?

I think the royals' idea of 'market rent' and what it entails differs markedly from that of us plebs.

CathyorClaire · 01/03/2026 21:14

W is a sucking limpet wedded to his 'destiny'.

He has never had any intention of walking.

MyTrivia · 02/03/2026 02:50

JSMill · 01/03/2026 12:15

I have seen a few stories over the last few days about W and C not being close to B and E and this originating from the sisters not being very nice to C in the early years. Apparently they looked down on C and thought it would fizzle out. Call me cynical, but it’s rather interesting that ‘sources’ are revealing this after all these years.

Yes, I remember reading something about 15 years ago which said that Beatrice and Eugenie were total mean girls to Catherine and they invited her to a party, wrongly telling her it would be fancy dress in order to humiliate her when she arrived.

I’ll bet the two of them are not nice people.

kingtamponthefurred · 02/03/2026 05:55

Notsosweetcaroline · 01/03/2026 11:52

Cmon now they aren’t going to do that. Front up ar someone else’s box and wave at thr royals. It’s not “just” , they’ve been excluded from any of the royal activities surrounding royal ascot. They aren’t janie and cath from down the road.

Janie and Cath probably have actual jobs and do something useful with their lives.

King admits he committed Adultery during marriage with his 1st wife, can we ban him & his current wife from royal boxes.

Adultery, with or without a capital letter, is not a criminal offence in most jurisdictions.
