Beatrice and Eugenie banned from Ascot

Beatrice and Eugenie have been banned from the royal box at Ascot and from royal events in the foreseeable future. That's according to a headline in the Daily Mail. A little part of me feels a bit sorry for them as they're not their parents. I don't like them much but they do seem to symbolise all that's wrong with the royals. Money and immense wealth and priviledge for very little return.

They were young royals who recieved the best education and will surely have been coached in how to judge people they met / avoid being exposed or taken advantage of given their status as princesses.
They may have had good education, but I’m not sure they are over endowed in the brain cell department. Not that being as think as mince is an excuse for consorting with paedophiles.

If it’s true, there is quite an irony on them looking down on Kate for having the wrong sort of parents, isn’t there.

It was in the DM article linked up thread. Harry has allegedly offered that Beatrice can stay with him and Meghan to escape the current pressure they find themselves under.

I think that they probably weren't aware of what was going on with Epstein.

But since they must have been they haven't done enough/anything to distance themselves.

They are not banned from spending time with their family whay are you talking about. Not doing public engagements with them doesn’t mean they are banned from spending time with their family.

Beatrice and Eugenie both have university degrees from good universities. They can hardly play the ‘thick as mince’ card, much as it would suit them to try when the shit hits the fan.

Theyre both married to rich men and have had jobs in the past. What do you expect them to do? I feel bad for them. It’s not their fault.

Ascot and other society events are the least of B&E's worries. They should be looking to see which relatives can take in the kids if mom and dad are detained by Great Uncle Charles' government.

While B&E are not responsible for the sins of their parents, they are certainly responsible for their own sins. Neuroscience generally aligns with age 25 as the time when executive brain function is fully online. As adults nearing 40 and having interacted with the world for over a decade beyond the age of 25, B&E can hardly blame their admittedly dysfunctional upbringing for their choices in their thirties which included B setting up that infamous interview and the pair of them accepting cash and luxury gifts plus whatever else is not yet public.

And it is likely as more information comes out and there is more scrutiny applied that there will be a justified reckoning.

I don’t think it’s fair to blame them for their parents’ behaviour. But they were obviously into some dodgy deals of their own in the ME….

Yes, I remember reading something about 15 years ago which said that Beatrice and Eugenie were total mean girls to Catherine and they invited her to a party, wrongly telling her it would be fancy dress in order to humiliate her when she arrived.

I’ll bet the two of them are not nice people.
