Beatrice and Eugenie banned from Ascot

Beatrice and Eugenie have been banned from the royal box at Ascot and from royal events in the foreseeable future. That's according to a headline in the Daily Mail. A little part of me feels a bit sorry for them as they're not their parents. I don't like them much but they do seem to symbolise all that's wrong with the royals. Money and immense wealth and priviledge for very little return.

but they have and they do. They are not part of the parade every day of the Royal meeting. In fact there have been years they’ve missed it previously.

On the days that they’re not in the parade, they arrive in car park 1 like everyone else!

Once they get out of the carriage parade they have regularly had drinks with friends on the lawn and in other boxes…….

They are just banned from the royal box, so what? They can still go if they want to and probably will. They are only marginally royal, a long way down the succession assuming they still are anywhere in it. They don't do royal duties either so what reason would there be for them to be treated like royalty?

I have seen a few stories over the last few days about W and C not being close to B and E and this originating from the sisters not being very nice to C in the early years. Apparently they looked down on C and thought it would fizzle out. Call me cynical, but it’s rather interesting that ‘sources’ are revealing this after all these years.

If it’s correct, then it’s the right thing.

Apparently according to the DM the royals do not want to be photographed with them. Which would be hard if they are in the royal box or at royal events. Hence the ban.

Because they can. The public seem to put up with an awful lot from this family. They are quite happy to take as much as they can. I wish that I could have the option of whether I wanted to pay my water bill, or not.

Yeah the mail has been reporting that, one of the videos made me uncomfortable as said up thread, there is no way eugenie wasn’t cold shouldering her, it’s mean girl behaviour.

my view point is they should be excluded until they are sure there was nothing dubious in their funding and behaviour. However as Charles was reportedly keen to keep them included, tells me there is something and they’ve moved to exclusion to limit the damage, which is already extensive, that family can do to the royal reputation, so I expect something more to come out.

i do in a small part of me feel they were brought up by Sarah and andrew, who let’s be honest, have poor moral compasses, are greedy and entitled, and they’d have seen this behaviour as normal.

i think there is a lot of jealousy in the royal family from second born sons, Harry and andrew both suffering from it, and it’s so extensive it’s caused them both a lot of damage.

Harry’s jealousy and resentment over William has to a large extent resulted in the shit show of a situation he’s in now and Andrew’s jealousy and resentment that he wasn’t to be king, his feeling of entitlement has in part led him to where he is now. Didn’t he reportedly try to convince the queen he should made king after the Diana Camilla scandal. Charles also had the duchy of Cornwall, brining in millions, and andrew was out there grifting.

both clearly behaved in different ways, andrew felt he could do whay he pleased, when he pleased, with no thought to the law, the uk or the monarchy, Harry was more spiteful and vindictive.

it hasn’t impacted Anne, Edward and their kids, but both Harry and andrew clearly have a huge issues.

They haven't been children for very long time.

They won’t be allowed to take part in the carriage procession .
Perhaps if they agreed to KC and W’s suggestion that an ethics advisor go through their investments , they wouldn’t be treated with suspicion.

I remember reading years ago hints about B and E looking down on Catherine. They were also- allegedly - rude to Pippa which did them no favours.

Apparently Harry wishes to rescue Beatrice. Eugenie’s charity is under investigation by the Charity Commission. The royal family have been told to avoid having their photographs taken with the either of them, and they are thus barred from the royal carriage ride at Ascot and the dinner at Windsor the night before. Beatrice and Eugenie have refused ethics checks of their portfolios. William and Catherine like a dish served cold. Beatrice is having #SadTimes because she doesn’t understand what’s happening. There’s really not enough popcorn.

As for ‘the York girls’: Beatrice and Eugenie are 37 and 35.

Like them or not, if they were from another, humbler family we would be saying they were exposed to a dangerous exploitive man at a still vulnerable age: 19 and 20?

They are 37 and 35 now, and refusing financial ethics checks.

As they matured, they should have been more aware of what was going on.

i just think that when they were taken to see JE, they were probably immature girls who didn’t have the savvies less privileged people would have at that age.

There have been rumours for years, to be fair. I saw one photo a couple of days ago, from 2016, where E and B are definitely making faces behind C’s back. Silly girls to be looking down their noses at the future queen.

I’d cut B&E some slack as children (of course) and during early adulthood because I suspect they may not have been totally aware of the warped values and behaviour of their parents but an awful lot if time has passed since they were c.20 years old and given B’s advisory capacity to AMW ahead of the Pizza Express interview it’s seems pretty clear they have some questions to answer for the more recent times. I’d have been expected to take responsibility for my actions or lack of awareness in my early thirties independent of my parents so why not them?

I'm sure I read ages ago that C had to curtsy to E&B as they were true blue blood, even after she was engaged to W. And AMW was very critical of her and was promoting his daughter's to C's detriment. It really is a weird bubble of a world it seems

Just think - they were 27/28 and 25/26 years old back then in 2016, behaving like useless spoiled titheads. What were most of us doing in our late twenties - I’ll take a guess at full time working, full time parenting, mixing work and family and caring responsibilities, doing research, running a proper business, or various combinations of the above. Not pulling bloody faces in public being socially incontinent and fiscally irresponsible.
