Beatrice and Eugenie banned from Ascot

Beatrice and Eugenie have been banned from the royal box at Ascot and from royal events in the foreseeable future. That's according to a headline in the Daily Mail. A little part of me feels a bit sorry for them as they're not their parents. I don't like them much but they do seem to symbolise all that's wrong with the royals. Money and immense wealth and priviledge for very little return.

Yup. Time to get rid of scroungers and the culture of deference. They’re two not very bright young women from a terrible family. A family that, if they had no money, would all have had ASBOs against them, and Social Services involved.

Wildviolet · 01/03/2026 13:48

Good.
These two women add nothing.

Here’s the Daily Mail article in all its wonderment. It answers most of the questions that have been asked here.

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/royals/article-15602593/Palace-bans-Beatrice-Eugenie-Ascot-royal-events.html#

Apparently Harry wishes to rescue Beatrice. Eugenie’s charity is under investigation by the Charity Commission. The royal family have been told to avoid having their photographs taken with the either of them, and they are thus barred from the royal carriage ride at Ascot and the dinner at Windsor the night before. Beatrice and Eugenie have refused ethics checks of their portfolios. William and Catherine like a dish served cold. Beatrice is having #SadTimes because she doesn’t understand what’s happening. There’s really not enough popcorn.

As for ‘the York girls’: Beatrice and Eugenie are 37 and 35.

ALL of the Windsors need ALL of their charities and finances in general properly scrutinised

At least two of William’s charities have either a direct donation from Epstein or has a long term post 2008 associate of Epstein as a co- founder. Why don’t we hear much about that ? I know Earthshot was reported to the charities Commision but that was done by Republic as far as I know .

King admits he committed Adultery during marriage with his 1st wife, can we ban him & his current wife from royal boxes.

Snorlaxo · 01/03/2026 14:06

I wonder if there will be security risk if they attend? Not because of people booing but paps following them so that they can know where Sarah or Andrew might be?

I doubt that’s an issue, the paps follow Kate and William in their droves.

You think the issue with Andre and his family is he committed adultury? That’s it? You don’t understand or know anything about Epstein?

SuperSange · 01/03/2026 14:16

Having listened to ‘Entitled’ it’s as clear as it can be that they’re in large part funded by Middle Eastern cash. Not a decision they made as ‘girls’. They’re as dodgy as they come and would seem to have learned at their parents knee.

Ukisgaslit · 01/03/2026 14:20

@SuperSange
The Yorks are not the only Windsors with links to Middle Eastern cash .

Paps are restricted within RAscot - it’s why you see all of the pictures of people going in through the gates or out past the bandstand.

Press accreditation is tight and normally extended to Racing sport or social journalists.

Unfortunately they are likely to be influenced by their parents and have apparently enjoyed hospitality in the ME so that has potential for further scandals.

They should drop their titles and live non Royal lives..no freebies or introductions in the ME

Absolutely!
Would they be happy if their underage children had jobs 'entertaining' wealthy abusers? Unfortunately for them their own parents are vile.

powersthatbe · 01/03/2026 14:28

I find it so annoying they are excused like ditzy, dumb 19/20 yr old girs who didnt know any better when visiting the convicted paedophile. They were young royals who recieved the best education and will surely have been coached in how to judge people they met / avoid being exposed or taken advantage of given their status as princesses. Relying on their parents judgement at that age is no excuse. IMO they either didnt care or knew there were wider benefits to this relationship. Im not baying for blood but they arent worthy of being princesses of the uk - they are quite frankly an embarrassment- and should gracefully step back.

Friendlygingercat · 01/03/2026 14:31

Im not against the monarchy but would like to see it considerably slimmed down to a Scandi style. Only the direct heirs funded by the taxpayer. The rest should get jobs,

I'm sure I read ages ago that C had to curtsy to E&B as they were true blue blood, even after she was engaged to W. And AMW was very critical of her and was promoting his daughter's to C's detriment. It really is a weird bubble of a world it seems

God that’s weird.

I don’t know about Scandis but Dutch and Belgian royalty are pared down.

Good! They don’t benefit Britain in any way. The fewer ‘royals’ we have the better
Its2026! We don’t need them

Like them or not, if they were from another, humbler family we would be saying they were exposed to a dangerous exploitive man at a still vulnerable age: 19 and 20?

Edited

No. I dont believe we would under similar circumstances.

My parents had a number of dubious friends. I could have got jobs through them, made helpful contacts etc. after leaving school. But by 19 my own moral compass was devloping and I turned my back and made my own way and avoided efforts by my parents to get me in rooms with people of influence. I didn’t even know the half of what they were capable of. But i knew enough to know that was their gig not mine.

They could have opted out of the greedy and immorality over the many recent yrs it has been in the headlines, and didnt.

People keep saying this but the Norwegian RF is in an absolute mess at the moment and they're one of the most slimmed down RFs. The revelations about the Crown Princess' links to Epstein and the testimony in her son's rape trial have been disgusting and have shown how people with links to the RF exploit them, despite having no titles at all. I'm not sure what the answer is tbh but it's not just slimming down titles.

ThePoshUns · 01/03/2026 15:01

Absolutely the right decision. The best thing the pair of them can do is keep their heads down and stay out of the limelight.

EvelynBeatrice · 01/03/2026 15:01

I think it is understandable that a young woman wouldn’t think to ‘google’ or otherwise investigate before meeting a person presented as a good friend of their mother. Various much older American nationals who, we can presume, read the US press, claim not to have been aware of the existence or precise nature of Epstein’s conviction at that time.

It is an illustration that the Royal Family (or at least those members of it who have any aspirations to decency or morality) need to conduct much more stringent due diligence before becoming friendly with, associating with and certainly accepting money or hospitality from new acquaintances. There’s something wrong with the mindset that doesn’t understand that there is no such thing as a free lunch or even the perception that such is the case. Many of our politicians would do well to remember that too.

Their parents now have to curtsy to them. I’ll bet that’s not going down well with Andrew. 😂😂

I can’t imagine Andrew curtseying…….😁😁. I think he’d find bowing hard enough!

I've missed this, I've googled but can't find anything

Yes, all credit to you. You clearly had brains, common sense, a good ‘bullshit detector’ ( sorry can’t think of a politer expression) and a moral compass.

But I remember the words of my retired policeman uncle: ‘never attribute to evil what is often more due to stupidity’. In other words, he told me that he had locked far more men up for stupidity than badness.
