Beatrice and Eugenie banned from Ascot

Beatrice and Eugenie have been banned from the royal box at Ascot and from royal events in the foreseeable future. That's according to a headline in the Daily Mail. A little part of me feels a bit sorry for them as they're not their parents. I don't like them much but they do seem to symbolise all that's wrong with the royals. Money and immense wealth and priviledge for very little return.

I remember reading about how B & E would go out socialising in their twenties but would never put their hands in their own pockets/expensive handbags....their group would just walk out without paying.

And didn't Meghan say she was 'friends' with Eugenie before meeting Harry? I wonder if there is more to that?

The OP reads the Paper that Supported the Blackshirts, noted many years ago for publishing photos of late teenage/early twenties women in small swimwear, only just the right side of legality.

The only thing I trust about such a paper is the title and the price.

I don't think missing a racehorse meeting is something to make a big deal out of.

Regardless of whether B and E have done anything wrong, if they are photographed hobnobbing with the other members of the Royal Family it will set everyone yabbering about all the scandal again.
The Royal Family needs to distance themselves from the Yorks.
If B and E were really supportive of the monarchy they would understand that fact - and they wouldn’t even want to be there.

I wouldn't really want to put myself at risk of heckling or being asked awkward questions if I were them , so probably best they avoid public appearances.

Presumably Anne's and Edward's children will be banned as well or is it we don't want B &E because of who their Daddy is?
Haven't questions been raised about some deals done by the Philips offspring and Sophie (ME connections) in the past?

These moves, if true, are just a smokescreen to deflect. They knew what was coming out about Andrew hence the stripping of titles a few weeks before the latest Epstein revelations. Charlie himself may have questions to answer about his own previous relationships.

As far as I can recall, Eugenie knew Misha Nonoo. Then Markus Anderson (Soho House ‘fixer’) reportedly introduced Misha Nonoo to Meghan Markle in 2014.

Meghan then met Eugenie. At some point Meghan met Harry. Recollections of how this came about have varied.

Meghan didn’t know who Eugenie’s father was until he was pointed out to her by Harry (at Andrew’s former residence, Royal Lodge). Harry believes that Meghan thought Andrew was a member of staff. Confused? You will be.

Harry reportedly was unhappy with the photograph of Eugenie and Beatrice hugging Piers Morgan (whom Meghan didn’t like) outside a London boozer where they’d had a good lunch. This was in 2023.

However Harry seems to have got over it, and has very recently invited ‘distraught’ Beatrice to Montecito.

Eugenie was photographed being friendly with Misha Nonoo at last summer’s Royal Ascot (2025), taking smiling selfies with her.

Misha Nonoo’s friendship is a real social prize for the talentless and the financially aspirational, being as she is (a) actually successful, and (b) married to Mike Hess an oil corporation heir worth multiple billions, thus allied to the social and economic stratosphere. She is everything and has everything that certain players on the scene do not. I have no idea if she is aware of this, and ever feels used, or if she still enjoys the friendships with, for example, 3rd rate royal-aligned grifters.

The most unbelievable part of a fairly questionable saga.

The concept of Andrew, renowned for being bumptious and arrogant, ever acting in such a way as to be mistaken for a member of staff is just a little too farfetched.

Agree and MM had been a friend of Eugenie before she even met PH - so had she no clue that she was a princess and who her father was ? That’s MM faux naïveté bare foot Cali girl shtick - when in reality she is a calculating steely social climbing operativor.

I do feel sorry for them. Their parents are abhorrent so they don’t really stand a chance of having much morality or humility.

I’m not sure I feel sorry for them. They have had a life of privalge. I grew up with parents who really are abhorrent, they were both physically and mentally abusive in the extreme, and I don’t follow in their footsteps. Millions of us over history are in the same boat. Fergie and andrew don’t come close, they clearly loved their kids, even if they are low moral grifters.

eugenie and Beatrice had it easy, so I don’t feel any pity. I feel as adults we are responsible for our own behaviour. And right now I don’t know, none of us do, if they followed in their parents grifting footsteps. Time will tell. But if they did, then it’s on them. Anything as a child is clearly excluded here.

I wonder what their husbands think. They thought they were marrying into the RF and would have all the benefits of those associations and yet......

I think the claim that, in their mid-late 30s, both B&E refused fiscal ethics checks could sink them, if it indeed turns out that there are some issues with their accounts that they didn’t want others to see.

If the claim isn’t true, it’s a funny old rumour to put out there, which they could easily quash by being transparent.

I wonder what their good friend Piers Morgan knows? (I don’t follow him on sm so can’t comment on what he’s up to.) It’s also odd that Harry is allegedly reaching out to Beatrice at this specific time. She was hugging Piers Morgan too - it wasn’t just her sister.

Honestly I don't think William comes off well out of this at all. He consistently shows himself to be someone who only cares about something once the press do

I agree, William seems to be just as reactive as the rest of his family. And only sees a problem when it becomes obvious the public and/or press won't be taken in by whatever it is.
