Is Kate Middleton wearing a blonde WIG?

Saw pictures today of Catherine, The Princess of Wales at the Natural History Museum.

I’m glad to see her back to work and looking happy. I’m also stunned by how different her hair looks. I always admired her amazing brown hair, so the blonde is quite the shock. Maybe it’s the wind and the rain creating the effect, but it almost looks like she is wearing a wig?

Just to clarify, I understand she went through cancer treatment and that can affect the hair in many ways. If she is wearing a wig, I really really don’t see a problem with it. If anything, it would be such a boon to cancer patients and people with alopecia etc who do wear wigs frequently. They could see that even wearing a wig you could look as fabulous as Kate.

Either way what is your verdict, wig or her own hair? Does the blonde suit her or do you prefer her as a brunette?

Also as a side note I love her outfit.

Her hair needs toning, the top looks harsher than the middle and the ends , some pictures look fine , others look as if though has something under her hair , can’t quite explain it.

is basically this colour (used to be naturally v dark brown) I love it, feel much younger, a lot less draining and hides the greys

I don't think it looks like a wig, not least because if she were going to wear a wig I imagine it would be the best possible one money could buy and it would be completely indistinguishable from natural hair. The texture does look a bit different though which could be a result of cancer treatment or aging, or maybe she just can't be arsed with as much prep as she once did. I don't love the blonde though and personally think she looks best as mid brunette.

I think she has been soaking up the sunshine over the summer and it has naturally bleached her hair. My hair is the same colour as hers and long, and exactly the same thing happens to mine every year. My hairdresser calls it 'free balayage'!!

It looks terrible. Far, far too long and the colour drains her. Her stylist has managed to make her lovely hair look like an acrylic wig.

It’s hard to get the colour right as we age. I’m similarly dark and have quite a lot of grey. I went lighter and it looked awful with my skin tone. I’ve now gone slightly darker again.

Sun would never ever do that to her hair colour.

Definitely a wig. And she’s had Botox. And a chin job. And a nose job. And she’s on the MountEtna or whatever the fat jabs are called.

Actually the closer I look the more it’s obvious that she’s been cloned, but something went wrong and the clone isn’t quite right. I think we should definitely all suppose that there’s loads of fakery and hoodwinking going on.

Because that’s exactly what a mum recovering from cancer needs.

It looks dreadful. The colour, the length, the style - all awful.

She looks neither blonde nor like she's wearing a wig. She has a lighter brown colour than usual, some root lift and I agree, hair extensions, which can be seen by the dividing of the strands under her right ear in the photo.
