Hello 👋, I thought it might be nice to have a thread we can discuss our cheesy feelings, food delights and general discourse about the royal family.

Good idea. It will be interesting to see whether this thread also attracts those who seem to need to have the last word all of the time.

I have been intrigued by the talk about Velveeta. I am sure I remember this although I have never been to the US. Has it ever been on sale in the UK?

Hi @ meerkat, don't think so , I've only ever seen it for sale on Amazon us but that was yonks ago!

I've just read (well, I knew it anyway but confirmation is always welcome) that blue cheese is very good for your gut biome; which is lucky, because I LOVE blue cheese. I reckon I was weaned on it.

I alas was not weaned on it but I grew to love it.

Funny how tastes and tolerances change.

When I’m need of a tiny hint of mild blue loveliness, markies d’affinois is quite lovely.

It is dear but lovely.

I have to be in the humour for stronger but a beautiful blue, walnut, pear salad and I’m there.

I love Feta.. love Greek salads.. especially when in the Greek Islands.
Tried many in this country.
Last week l got some from Ocado.. and my gosh ..best I've ever had.. made with both sheep's and goats milk.😋😋😋

When we were kids DM used to moan like anything about the speed with which cheese disappeared from the fridge - she used to buy hunks of Edam (this was before plastic packaging) and it used to reduce gradually and unseen by maternal eye 😉
