I experienced a near catastrophic marmite shortage earlier. I had a high speed chase around the unfamiliar and terrifying mean aisles of Waitrose trying to find some. I deserve a Woman of Double Vision award for delaying wine time to go out and find some for my boy. Being a mom is the most important thing in my entire life and who needs a kid whining about marmite when you are trying to enjoy your morning coffee.

I modified to gluten free by using almond flour for a guest and it was actually even better than before.

All my Marmite is aged. I had a panic attack when I read that it would nigh on impossible to find Marmite in Ireland after Brexit and stocked up and because nobody else in the house likes it a big jar lasts me a long time. Despite being ages out of date it never goes off! Come Armageddon I will survive on Marmite. The forecasted shortage was a lie and the shops are full of it.

One of the lesser known Brexit cruelties, Marmite anxiety! We also stocked up, as DS really can’t survive without it, but it didn’t last past its sell by date, so I am impressed Jane!

Before a stampede occurs, I think it might just be my local Sainsbury, that always seems to have peculiar stock shortages of one thing or another, that doesn’t have it. I found some elsewhere.
