There is plenty of documented evidence from royal reporters that William donated his phone hacking settlement to start the games, around 1/2 million.
No there isn't. There articles suggesting it, but I haven;t seen evidence of either a settlement or the donation, Harry was the only one to discuss the settlement and that was in a court case.
Deflecting onto arguments about his Sentebale project (which he may also be making money from with his upcoming Africa documentary?) and the royal family's charity work, is derailing this thread. We're talking about the Invictus Games, so I'm not going down that rabbit hole.
Its not derailing! Its a relevant point that you do not know what he does with his money and he has a record of donating his royalties to his charities. The royal family charity work is not derailing because its a direct comparison. Why argue about a private citizen who is making a documentary about a sports event, without knowing any details, while ignoring that his family literally get paid by us, to the tune of millions every year, for doing charity work. I am highlighting your own hypocrisy. This is the royal board, they're relevant on every thread.
I think this is such a great thing to make a documentary on, like a lot of documentaries they're about issues or stories that affect people who have suffered a challenge and overcome them. Its a great subject and they're great athletes, whoever did a documentary like this, will make a profit. It doesn't erase any separate charity work they do. I would hate it if peoples nastiness and negativity stopped people like them making stories like this.
