Why does Meghan have to look bad for Kate to look good? Why does Meghan need to be bested or seen off? Why is it a competition?

I am not sure what they are trying to achieve with this but it's a bad look for Kate.

If it's a competition then it's rather one-sided, Meghan left ages ago!

I don't think it's intended that way but this makes it look as though Meghan is the standard, which is quite embarrassing for Kate given that Kate was in the family for more than 10 years before Meghan joined, Meghan was there for all of 24 months, and, more importantly, as you say, she has left.

Equally, why does Kate have to look bad for Meghan to look good in some people’s eyes. The whole thing is silly 🤷‍♀️

The youngest is 4 now so I think started school -and I know she has help but I also think she was more hands on than others in that family and IRL I know many mothers who waited till youngest were settled at school to start new jobs up hours or add re-training.

One of the reasons I am happy Harry and Meghan are out of the Royal Family is that if they had not left, their children would have become the scapegoats of the next generation.

The press would have pit them against their older cousins, especially Charlotte and Lili, so they are well out of it.

You mustn't be believe everything you read in the papers. As if Catherine needs to try and 'best' anyone, especially someone who predominantly works for Netflix. It's a non starter.

Scapegoats? I think Harry should have asked Auntie Anne to give Meghan some insight as to how she should behave. I have some respect for her, and for Sophie who married a younger son. They know they’re privileged, work hard (and often quietly) and do not behave like spoiled children. Their children have good lives, mainly out of the royal spotlight.

Harry & family could have had the same.

It's more the fact that all three children are now in school so she has more time for engagements without the mum guilt.

That seems the most rational explanation, unfortunately lots of people seem irrational when it comes to the RF. That's on both sides by the way.

Why would they? Have they ever pitted William against Peter or Eugenie against Zara.Did they ever pit Anne against Princess Margaret's daughter (Sarah I think) not sure why it is so crazy about this generation.
