Why does Meghan have to look bad for Kate to look good? Why does Meghan need to be bested or seen off? Why is it a competition?

Exactly . There's just no comparison, one is doing her duties with dignity and grace the other is selling stories and blabbing to the media.

The only real competition between who is trying to emulate whom is between Samantha Markle and Markle junior. It's all about the $$$ with that family.

You could have just said are the papers drawing a comparison, you didn't need to add how amazing Meghan looked. Maybe you weren't trying to draw attention to that, maybe you need to think about the dim thing.

Kate has had a classic style since the start, before Meghan was on the scene

She hasn’t changed it

Basically upping the game and kate's image instead of just sticking to the boring old ways normally used by the palace.
It's really an acknowledgment that Meghan had the right idea in improving and promoting her image.

They recently had a massive change at the top - it did hit the news at the time - meaning the will probably be a lot of changes of personnel and strategy.

The Princess of Wales in a more senior public role and her children are now at school age - of course they will be stepping up her work - and what that actually means isn't clear- and that probably means a change in personnel.

Meghan's popularity has diminished in UK and the USA recently- which I think it place they care about - her image isn't great at the minute. If/when she turns that around maybe she'd be someone to copy but lets face it there are others in RF who manged to turn their images around who most people would think of first.

Meghan does have thing to going for her - but when people make stupid statements that defy observable reality they just invite more scorn.

She doesn't have to sacrifice her children though. The late Queen got so much stick for just that. Mothers can't win can they.

Catherine isn’t competing with someone who works for Netflix though why tf would she? she is doing her Royal role. We've seen her repeatedly in the news in recent weeks I'm not sure how you can suggest she isn't doing anything.

The person working for Netflix has, when working for the rf firm, raised money via a clothes capsule, cookbook etc.
Later- when working with Netflix - donated nappies/ baby packages, newborn hats, coffees for staff working late, money for employee relief fund etc.

notanotheroneagain, those screenshots you've posted contain lots of 'conversations'. When Kate has a meeting/conversation/phone call with someone she's derided for it, when Meghan/Harry do the same they're some sort of saintly super heroes.

There's a listing on there of Harry having a conversation where he discusses the importance of storytelling. Is he going to get the piss ripped out of him for stating the bleedin' obvious?

There's a list of projects but nothing to say what's been done by the couple - donating a tenner or acting as CEO. I could list all the charities we've donated to over the years - there'd be a pageful, but I'm not entirely sure our fiver a month to dementia research or a couple of quid in the RNLI lifeboat warrants a listing on my facebook page.

Exactly, the royal family do shine lights and raise awareness. So PPs suggesting they don't do anything yet wave their pompoms for a pair of clowns who sell private stories about people who have not given their permission do seem a bit silly.

Meghan is a natural beauty.

She is great at public speaking, really kind and warm and married for love not a title like Kate did.

She was and is so much more popular than Kate, she's just like Diana, a princess of the people.

Meghan would be a much better queen than Kate and @MrsMaxDeWinter would make an amazing lady in waiting as she is genuinely loyal and devoted to the Duchess of Sussex.
