"Kate's Rebranding Masterclass May Finally See off Meghan"

"Five months since she moved up to the second tier of the monarchy, the Princess has started beefing up her top team to make sure she succeeds not only with her “life’s work” on child development, but also with the task of besting Meghan Markle."

Why does Meghan have to look bad for Kate to look good? Why does Meghan need to be bested or seen off? Why is it a competition?

You make Harry and Meghan sound like children relying on everyone else to do everything for them and telling them what to do. You do realise how ridiculous it makes them appear.

An age difference of 2 years and 2 months between 2 people of legal age is fine - you talk about 'if it was the other way round' - that age difference 'the other way round' is pretty normal.

This makes no sense. Do you mean "bum cigarettes/alcohol/knives"?
People may bum cigarettes but who on earth bums knives?
And you're the one describing this woman as "not clever"? 🤔

I clearly stated if the ages were reversed. ie. if H was 19 and the girl 16. The narrative would be different. He would be of age to buy all those those items.

No, you didn't "clearly" state it. But, to be fair, typos can happen to anyone. Especially if they're in a bit of a frenzy.

So 19 year old boys (who were 18 the day before) would be disapproved if for having sex with 16 year old girls (who are 2 months off 17)?

And do you think it's okay the call Sasha "stupid"?

LaMarschallin · 13/02/2023 13:01

See, typos can happen to meSmile
And I'm not in a frenzy.

But, still: is it okay to call Sasha "stupid"?
Based on what?

KrasiTime · 13/02/2023 18:14

The posters making derogatory comments about a woman who has been thrust into the limelight by Harry himself, well frankly, it says more about them than Sasha, who I feel very sorry for.

Harry has behaved despicably & I can’t believe posters are attacking a woman who kept quiet for 20 years.

Nasty bullying behaviour.

mathanxiety · 13/02/2023 18:19

She wasn't identified in the memoir.

She chose to come forward. Nobody knew her name until she announced it herself.

Yes it does seem an odd thing to do. She said friends knew and it would've come out, but why? I'm sure if she'd have kept quiet nothing else would've been said.

I do wish Pat the 'not hot women with a crooked spine' had come forward, or her family if she isn't still alive and said what a cruel description for someone so allegedly #compassionate. Yes it was said when he was a kid but there was no self awareness in the book, no remorse of regret for his awful insulting and bullying language.

AliceOlive · 13/02/2023 18:44

She explains in the interview. Did you watch it?

AliceOlive · 13/02/2023 18:47

Anyway, doesn't it make sense that everyone should hear her story in her own words, like MM said?

I am glad SP took the opportunity to set the record straight. What happened was quite different from the way Harry described it for the world.

I think it was well known which pub Harry and his friends frequented and Sasha has said that when she and Harry returned to the group, many of them had guessed what happened. It has been said on the other thread about this that it was likely that the bloodhounds from the press had found out who Sasha was (wouldn’t have been that difficult for them, finding stuff like that out is their job) and they may well have said that she could give her side of the story or they would publish it anyway and fill in the gaps themselves. The story would never have come out if Harry hadn’t put it in his book.
I agree @Janiie about the school matron. I have challenged a few posters to give me their views on Harry’s ableist comments in his book and have been met with a deafening silence 🤷‍♀️

She wasn't identified in the memoir.

She chose to come forward. Nobody knew her name until she announced it herself.

Not only did no one know of her, no one even had a description of what she looks like. Was she blonde/brunette/red head? Thick set/ plus size/ athletic/skinny? What did she like to wear? Was she bubbly/shy? nope, nothing. 'Older' and 'loved horses' - in the country side (bet that's more than 60% of people at some country pub). I've not heard a more vague description of a person(apparently she's only 2yrs older mind you, I thought a decade or so).

In the meantime, no one has tracked down 'Mr R', nor that 25 page bullying report. And definitely no follow up on the staff member trading in.

No, I don't think after a month poor old Pat will come out or has been 'tracked down'. She was clearly amused by the spoilt brats who wanted her to 'bust a gut' from laughter. Thank goodness the press leave her alone.

But according to MN standards I'm bedridden disabled, because when my dc whizz around and double up stairs, struggling to keep up, I complain about sore feet/ankles/back/ you name it. Pat is labeled disabled when complaining about a dodgy back and knees (she is not described as disabled in the book, to be clear, but from Piss and MN). This woman was employed by a school who seem to have no problems and it sounds like what she told the boys who were out of control physically.

Funny how this random person that no one knew over 10 days ago,(the older lover) is so revered and getting so much sympathy comparably. As in, up to today no one trusts a woc known to us for years and had a great rep for over a decade on Suits- she is still viewed with suspicion.

@notanotheroneagain he describes her I. The book as having a twisted spine and knees so stiff that she walked backwards “glacially “ down stairs which were torture for her. Sounds like a disability to me.

notanotheroneagain · 13/02/2023 21:42

Sounds like a dodgy back and knees as witnessed by an 8yr old, told so by the person to me.

How could the school have kept her to chase after 8-13yr olds if things were so seriously bad.

Coxspurplepippin · 13/02/2023 21:46

It's odd how posters are so dead set on rubbishing two women who didn't ask to be crow barred into a book written by a privileged, wealthy man, who writes about them in one instance cruelly and the other flippantly.

JonahCL9 · 13/02/2023 21:49

Your repeated, persistent refusal to acknowledge that the Ludgrove matron had a disability is continuously revealing.

He was 13, not 8. Matrons are not at schools to “chase boys”. What are you talking about? I know Harry mentions not worrying about being caught by her, but “chasing boys” is not in their job description. So it’s perfectly reasonable for her to be employed even with mobility issues.

pilates · 13/02/2023 21:54

You have to admire her persistence

That's what I don't understand. They didn't do anything wrong here other than exist. Is it just jealousy because they had some proximity to him decades ago?

notanotheroneagain · 13/02/2023 21:55

What is this insistence of labelling this lady as 'disabled'.

She sounded fine and able to carry out her duties.

AliceOlive · 13/02/2023 21:57

You are unbelievable. My DH is now severely disabled due to a progressive disease. He was previously able to work or “carry out his duties” as you say in Pat’s case, but it doesn’t mean he wasn’t disabled, just less so at the time. Pat’s duties did not include sprinting up and down corridors. She could carry out her duties in spite of her mobility issues

notanotheroneagain · 13/02/2023 22:01

The poster said it sounded like 'a disability to me'

To me, it sounds like the person told the boys a certain narrative about herself.

Can you read the thread, and not be so daft about the grammar and spelling.

Disabled people can hold down jobs, people work and get DLA or PIP now, I've employed disabled people, you might need to make some adjustments depending on the disability, but the point is having a job does not mean you aren't disabled. On the other hand having a twisted spine and such painful knees that she walked down stairs backwards and in agony would certainly constitute a disability. I don't understand why you can't accept that. It seems odd that you want to back Harry up but refuse to accept his description of her and also refuse to accept that Harry let Meghan down when she was suicidal even though he admits he's ashamed of his behaviour.

So you think a 13 year old boy couldn't see with his own eyes that this woman was in severe pain using stairs and had to do it backwards? That level of pain is a disability. Her twisted spine may or may not have been visible, it could have been.

notanotheroneagain · 13/02/2023 22:12

You sound unbelievably yourself actually.

So she was not disabled then.

No one has ever described her as such. What was her disability? What did she suffer from? What was the diagnosis?
Did you know her?

First I ever heard of a disability was from Piers and on here, and it doesn't sound any of you have ever known her. But you have held on to this narrative and ran with it.

Coxspurplepippin · 13/02/2023 22:13

Do you at least acknowledge the lady was probably in pain and had difficulty walking?
