"Kate's Rebranding Masterclass May Finally See off Meghan"

"Five months since she moved up to the second tier of the monarchy, the Princess has started beefing up her top team to make sure she succeeds not only with her “life’s work” on child development, but also with the task of besting Meghan Markle."

Why does Meghan have to look bad for Kate to look good? Why does Meghan need to be bested or seen off? Why is it a competition?

Maybe she also told him she is “not hot”.

You sound unbelievably yourself actually.

So she was not disabled then.

No one has ever described her as such. What was her disability? What did she suffer from? What was the diagnosis?
Did you know her?

First I ever heard of a disability was from Piers and on here, and it doesn't sound any of you have ever known her. But you have held on to this narrative and ran with it.

So, are you saying that because she does not have a label on her classifying her as having a specific disability, she is in no way disabled because has difficulty walking and a back problem? Again, as you seem to have trouble understanding, Harry in his own words in his book says she has a great deal of trouble walking and her spine is twisted. Does that sound 100% able bodied to you?

All of this post is just so highly offensive toward people with physical disabilities. No one’s diagnosis is any of your actual business.

Harry’s book described her as not being able to navigate the stairs in a normal manner. That’s enough for us to know that she had a physical issue.

Nothing is sacred with you, is it? Women, POC, the disabled are all in the firing line if you feel they might somehow threaten your Prince.

ancientgran · 13/02/2023 22:38

Actually I think @notanotheroneagain is suggesting Harry was lying. This woman was 100% fit and for some strange reason Harry made the rest up. That explains it all.

Do you at least acknowledge the lady was probably in pain and had difficulty walking?

In the context of reading the book,I acknowledge that she seemed to love her job and the boys and was constantly amused by their shenanigans. She would give a stern look and talk, but still bust out laughing when they they entertained her.

I don't acknowledge that she was disabled, nowhere am I getting anything about 'DLA and PIP'. I think she kept up with the boys most of the time. I think naturally, they would run at 10x her speed as would most boys that age.

I can see her complaining about dodgy knees and back (how on earth can any one see a 'crooked spine' without x ray). Ok, she would ease her walk downstairs by walking backwards, probably occasionally. If things were bad, she would surely just resign and those kind of schools tend to have the pastoral care (if not snobbery) to watch out for their school staff and who looks after these boys at such an expensive school. Can't imagine this school keeping her at a house parent role at all. How did she go up the stairs?

Sorry, but I'm struggling to see this 'disabled' narrative everyone is on about. I see a woman who was very much abled and did her job very well.

Yes, and likely believes that the security guard Harry claims to have smacked actually did that to himself.

Yes @notanotheroneagain knows so much about Harry's life, it must be embarrassing for him although he's admitted his memory isn't good, maybe @notanotheroneagain should offer to help him out.

notanotheroneagain · 13/02/2023 22:53

Don't try to twist this, you are the ones giving this woman a label. A 'disability' label.

All I read was a lady telling boys she had a dodgy back and knees, and them believing her and in their impressionable minds seeing her leaning to the side sometimes -yep, crooked back. Even her easing herself down the stairs backwards, to me was the same as someone holding on to the rail and going slow and steady upwards. (like 10yr old would tell you, 'meet you upstairs in 10 minutes', then zoom up the stairs). Then you lot came up with some sinister story of disabilities that don't exist.

Gosh, can't believe how much time is spent on this non story.

Coxspurplepippin · 13/02/2023 22:55

And yet........here you are.

How would you get anything about DLA or PIP? Do you think she'd have discussed that with a badly behaved 13 year old?

Can you quote where in the book it says she was constantly amused by their behaviour. I don't think that is what he said.

AliceOlive · 13/02/2023 22:56

Harry never said she told him these things.

Coxspurplepippin · 13/02/2023 22:59

For someone to have to 'ease' themselves downstairs backwards suggests difficulty and pain. People generally don't come downstairs backwards if they're fit and healthy do they?

AliceOlive · 13/02/2023 23:03

And what are we even arguing? She was perfectly able bodied therefore it’s ok for him to write shot about her looks, her personality, her body? Or she only provided the “narrative” of being disabled and she’s probably a liar so it’s ok to trash her now?

What feminist icon, your Harry.
