To think Prince George is never going to find a life partner?

Who on earth would marry into the Royal Family, at this point?

What sort of parent would send their child to the slaughter-house?

The monarchy could well end up crumbling because no-one will be willing to marry into it - due not only to unacceptable levels of press intrusion, but also social media (and God even knows what that’s going to look like by the time George (and his siblings) come of age).

There will always be people who want to.

00100001 · 20/12/2022 22:48

He's 9.

Nine.

Why would you even think this??? About a child.

It's going to be 20 years or so before anyone needs to "worry" about this...

Choccolatte · 20/12/2022 22:48

Well look at someone like Boris Johnson, I couldn't believe anyone would touch him with a bargepole and yet...money and power do strange things to some people.

Italiangirlinlondon · 20/12/2022 22:49

Fuck sakes, what a silly thing to think.

I mean really you think in 20 years anyone will remotely care about harry and Meghan going off the rails 😂

Dacadactyl · 20/12/2022 22:51

I agree actually. I would NEVER in a million years marry into the Royal Family. In fact, id write them off as potential partners straight up, so even if they were interested in me, itd be a no.

But then there are always people who want the fame or money etc, so....

Headoutofplace · 20/12/2022 22:53

Someone married Elizabeth after the shocking abdication fiasco. Someone married Charles (ok it didn't end well!) after people had a go at Philip for marrying Elizabeth. Someone married William after the horrendous Charles/Diana stuff and all the press intrusion. Someone will marry George (if he wants) despite the negative things that will have gone before, not everyone will focus on the negative.

SuperGinger · 20/12/2022 22:55

Bit young to be contemplating a life partner, isn't he? 😂

Findyourneutralspace · 20/12/2022 22:55

I think he’ll be alright

Eh ? How utterly random.

Im pretty sure there would be plenty of people lining up.

PacificallyRequested · 20/12/2022 22:56

I actually hope he'll never be king, for his own sake. Who would want that life? Maybe William is waiting for his turn and then he'll end the whole circus.

Spaghetti201 · 20/12/2022 22:56

I agree with OP, I can’t imagine anything worse than being caught up in all that media attention. But doesn’t just apply to royal family, any sort of famous person would be a massive turn off for me.

Minikievs · 20/12/2022 22:56

My DD has already decided she's going to marry him

Marcipex · 20/12/2022 22:57

Who knows, he’s only a kid, perhaps he’ll marry another bloke.

Chattycatty · 20/12/2022 22:57

He's 9!! Pretty sure it's not something you need worry about just yet 🙄

NoSquirrels · 20/12/2022 22:58

Bizarre thread. He’s 9, and his parents seem to be doing all right (ignoring rumours of affairs, which seems fair enough to ignore).

And throughout history people have always been willing to marry for money, status and power.

HRTQueen · 20/12/2022 22:58

Don’t be daft there are many women who would love to marry a royal just look how women flock around them

some just hang about waiting and waiting

he may not as he may never want to marry or have children who knows what he shall want to do

I’m going to put myself out there and suspect you’re alright and not at risk 😂

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 20/12/2022 22:58

He's 9.

His parents seem to be very happily married and appear to raising him and his siblings as normally as they can. The husband you are alluding to was not brought up to be grounded and rushed his wife down the aisle and did not prepare her for the realities of the life and the job. That will not be allowed to happen with the Wales' DC

DuplicateUserName · 20/12/2022 23:02

Maybe he'll turn out to be gay and want to marry a man and really shake the royal family up 😉

So true.

Who would believe he found someone like her.

Haydugee · 20/12/2022 23:06

William and Kate seem happy, loving, stable and “normal”. They will be George’s role models, so I think he will turn out ok.

In 20 years’ time, they will likely be at the helm with (hopefully) 30 years of stable marriage behind them, and the current circus will be a distant memory.

Georgeskitchen · 20/12/2022 23:06

The modern day royals think they are hard done by , at least they don't behead people these days 😉

TodayIsFridayHooray · 20/12/2022 23:07

🤣🤣🤣🤣 I really wouldn't worry about it!! I'm sure there will be plenty of lovely young ladies/men who will be quite smitten! George will not be left on the shelf!!!! 😉

Poor George he's 2 weeks younger than my DD. He's 9! I'm sure he will find love when the time comes. I wouldn't want my DD to have that scrutiny so I'll be making sure she attends a different university 🤣. I'm sure other parents will be trying to line their daughters up.
