Are we really on a new thread already! Only seems like 5 minutes since the last one began.

Sarah is still in prison/on remand, (for killing Theo,) and is toughening up in there now, hanging onto snooker balls in a sock to hit someone with! One of the prisoners in there has been threatening her and her family if Sarah doesn't get Kit to help her son who is in trouble. (But Sarah has dumped Kit!)

Ma Driscoll has been getting jiggy with Brian! Ollie is in trouble for having a go at Gary's son who appeared to be assaulting Christina when she was drunk on the floor.

Tim reconnected with a cousin he hadn't seen for several decades, (Richie) who went on to kill his wife, and now Tim and Sally are looking after his daughter, and Lou and Mick's girls are back with Tim and Sally too!

We haven't seen much of Debbie lately - or Summer, which is a shame, but plenty of mardy Todd who hates the world right now.

Bernie's aunt has just turned up in the form of glamourous actress Frances Barber, and has only a few weeks to live. So she is hoping Todd can help her with a Dolly Parton themed funeral. R.I.P lovely Dolly! ❤

I've got a question, what happened to Celeste's funeral? (Bernie's aunt - another long lost relative!) 🙄 Remember... The big Dolly Parton inspired one that she wanted Todd to do? No-one's mentioned that for about 3 weeks. It all seems to be about Lucy's mum now (at George and Todd's funeral parlour...) No-one has mentioned Celeste's funeral for several weeks now. She's been dead 4 weeks on Sunday!

I thought Carl was very funny playing the straight guy to Steve's silliness.
I hate what they are doing with Sam, aside from the fact that it takes months to diagnose Schizophrenia, i don't think a boy his age will really be able to portray the complexity of the illness properly, and the writers won't do justice to it. And really, hasn't Sam been through enough. with the Battersby sisters as his stepmums

SabreIsMyFave · 24/09/2026 23:42

Agree @Deadringer I loved the scene with Carl and Steve! 😆

Also not keen on what's happening with Same. I guess this kind of thing happens, but why did they have to do it to him?

I think there was some hasty re-writing after the sad real life news of Dolly’s passing.

TipsyPeachSnake · 25/09/2026 05:03

Celeste left a letter for Todd (I remember him searching her hotel room for it) cancelling her funeral plans. He also read letter out to family at gathering in hotel. It wasn’t just forgotten about.

Today is Dolly Parton day where it has been suggested people should wear something pink and sparkly.

JewelleryCat · 25/09/2026 08:32

I never knew it was Dolly Parton day today. I watched Steel Magnolias the other week, she’s really good in that

Sam is being a bit of a pain isn’t he.
Chrissie being late to work and then going to get drunk was out of order , she is lucky to be given a chance at a new job . Why do they never fess up straight away when there is a problem?

I think any teenager would demand their phone back. And Nick was treating him like a child.

@the80sweregreat Yeah, I'm not sure. (About the death certificate etc.) Also been a while (for me) since I was involved in organising a funeral, over a decade. (DH was with me.) Can't remember much really, as when you've got a close family death, you're in a bit of a tailspin, and your head's all over the place.

It comes from the Registrar to the undertaker, you don't have to take it yourself

Poor Debbie not recognising Toyah. It was good they should us what Debbie was seeing vs reality.

Emmerdale did a similar thing when Ashley had dementia, it was very good then too

That was so upsetting wasn't it? 😢

I thought this too. Nick was so unreasonable to be keeping Sam's phone from him. We let children/teens have phones and they become addicted, (like adults do,) and then they keep it from him ... I don't get why Nick would not let him have it. And why it was in the pub.
