Are we really on a new thread already! Only seems like 5 minutes since the last one began.

Sarah is still in prison/on remand, (for killing Theo,) and is toughening up in there now, hanging onto snooker balls in a sock to hit someone with! One of the prisoners in there has been threatening her and her family if Sarah doesn't get Kit to help her son who is in trouble. (But Sarah has dumped Kit!)

Ma Driscoll has been getting jiggy with Brian! Ollie is in trouble for having a go at Gary's son who appeared to be assaulting Christina when she was drunk on the floor.

Tim reconnected with a cousin he hadn't seen for several decades, (Richie) who went on to kill his wife, and now Tim and Sally are looking after his daughter, and Lou and Mick's girls are back with Tim and Sally too!

We haven't seen much of Debbie lately - or Summer, which is a shame, but plenty of mardy Todd who hates the world right now.

Bernie's aunt has just turned up in the form of glamourous actress Frances Barber, and has only a few weeks to live. So she is hoping Todd can help her with a Dolly Parton themed funeral. R.I.P lovely Dolly! ❤

Also agree about Christina getting trollied and not turning up to work (on time.) What time was it even meant to be? Was it lunchtime? Had she already been to work that morning? That bit confused me.

I think, but stand to be corrected, that she was mistaken about what time she should start work and was having breakfast at Roy's when she should have been at work. She was told she was late, came in, polished the car, had the argument with Lucy (which was a lot of bollocks) then went inside to do some office/admin work and saw the death certificate. Then she went to the pub, had a few drinks and wanted to sing and be merry. A bit unlikely when you'd just discovered your long lost/taken/given away/sold/whatever daughter was dead by murder.

Thank you @LesserSpottedCharacter yes that makes sense, and thinking back, I think that was how it went......

Agree that the 'argument' with Lucy was very silly and pointless. (As you said it was a lot of bollocks.) 😆

Why is Carl being nice?

Maybe they're trying to turn him into a likeable character. 👀

Tim's mum was another one who left her child for decades.

I never really understood how Geoff managed to keep her away or why she did not just apply for custody

Oh did she?! I actually genuinely don't remember that. So much happens in Corrie, with long lost family members turning up, abandoned children, and crime and all kinds of shit, that I miss stuff occasionally. 😆

And have they forgotten Tim's original backstory of being a heroin addict who had his daughter (Faye) taken away and adopted 🤔

I don't think it was Tim who had a heroin addiction. It was his partner. (His daughter Faye's mother.)

I did Google it... This came up. Smile But a few other sources said something similar...

Tim Metcalfe left his daughter Faye because his ex-partner Jenny Butler developed a severe heroin addiction and life with her became unbearable.

The Split: When Faye was two years old, Tim walked out on Jenny and Faye after failing to stop Jenny's drug habit and spiralling temper.

The Aftermath: After Tim left, Jenny's behaviour worsened, leading to Faye suffering some years of neglect before being taken into care and eventually adopted by the Windass family.

Tim's Regret. Tim later deeply regretted abandoning Faye and spent several years trying to track her down.

Faye found Tim on the internet

Then we found out he could not read or write

Oh yeah that's right. He hadn't learned to read and write! As I said, so much goes on in Corrie, that you kinda forget stuff now and again! Grin

So Tim just left his daughter in the capable hands of a heroin addict

I think Kevin's girlfriend kidnapped Bethany after their baby died in hospital from an infection .
Alison I think the girlfriend was called.
Big eyes .

I do remember this. I think she (Alison) ended up dying.

Alison had her and Kevin's baby who died after contracting an infection I think. So she kidnapped Bethany (as you said) and then just after she handed Bethany back, she ran in front of a lorry.

It was Jack she kidnapped.
Jenny was going out with Kevin at the time .

Yes, that's right. Smile Jenny kidnapped baby Jack.

What is it with Kevin's women kidnapping babies? 😬

If I discovered Lucy was granddaughter I think I'd have a few Baileys too.
Aside from the murdered daughter discovery obviously .
They need Nicky or Davina constantly available with the long lost family members.

Agreed! So many long lost relatives in Corrie. 😬

LOL, it looks like it.

I think the little girl (Joanie's sister) said more tonight than I've heard her say for a while. Shanice is it? She's really cute.

Stupid storyline. Rachel would have been all over the local papers due to being murdered and so she would have realised it was her much sooner.

SabreIsMyFave · 24/09/2026 23:14

@Deadringer

I suppose George would be shocked, they just buried a young woman who was murdered, and it turns out to be Chrissy's long lost child.

It all feels a bit shoe-horned in though

I agree with the storyline of Lucy's mum being Christina's daughter is a bit shoe-horned in. There's just too many long long relatives/long lost children in Corrie now. It's bonkers! I know there have been a few over the years, but they were every couple of years maybe.... It's every other month now.
