Are we really on a new thread already! Only seems like 5 minutes since the last one began.

Sarah is still in prison/on remand, (for killing Theo,) and is toughening up in there now, hanging onto snooker balls in a sock to hit someone with! One of the prisoners in there has been threatening her and her family if Sarah doesn't get Kit to help her son who is in trouble. (But Sarah has dumped Kit!)

Ma Driscoll has been getting jiggy with Brian! Ollie is in trouble for having a go at Gary's son who appeared to be assaulting Christina when she was drunk on the floor.

Tim reconnected with a cousin he hadn't seen for several decades, (Richie) who went on to kill his wife, and now Tim and Sally are looking after his daughter, and Lou and Mick's girls are back with Tim and Sally too!

We haven't seen much of Debbie lately - or Summer, which is a shame, but plenty of mardy Todd who hates the world right now.

Bernie's aunt has just turned up in the form of glamourous actress Frances Barber, and has only a few weeks to live. So she is hoping Todd can help her with a Dolly Parton themed funeral. R.I.P lovely Dolly! ❤

Yep. Even in the mid 1970s, Gordon Clegg grew up believing Maggie was his mother, unaware that his true mother was her sister, Betty (Turpin.)

Then there have been storylines like Toyah having a baby that was never mentioned back in the noughties (and when you saw Classic Corrie when she should have been pregnant she had a flat tummy!)

Then Ken Barlow discovered he had a long-lost son, Lawrence, resulting from an older romance with Martha Longhurst's friend. 1960s

Then there's Dev's daughter Amber (who he never knew he had) who is in Classic Corrie now.

I'm sure there are more.

I liked Amber. Steve had Emma who went to Australia. Jim was the father of Ben so he was and could have been the father of Emma so he could.
And I think Fred was the father of Our Ashley but his sister brought him up? And Our Joshua was the son of Dr Matt.

Oh yes @eggandonion that's a few more! I liked Amber too.

Hmmm yeah, I wonder if she was a devoted mother to Daisy (who she would have had at around 25 maybe,) but they fell out when Daisy was a teen. From experience, I know teen girls can be errr.... challenging. Not me, I was a little Angel 👼

Or maybe Daisy was fine as a teen, and it was Christina who started to become a 'bad mother.' Not looking after Daisy, not being there for her, and letting her down... Maybe she was fine to start with, then started to 'slip' as Daisy got older/hit her teens.

But yeah, I was never exactly sure why there was bad blood between Daisy and her mum (Christina.) IIRC Christina was a bit flaky and borrowed money and never gave it back, and I think she'd let Daisy down a few times. But I'm not sure what their mother-daughter relationship was like when Daisy was a child/teen. And if it was an OK relationship, when it started to break down...)

Daisy was brought up by her Dad who was married to Jenny. Her mother had apparently taken off when she was little to live a hedonistic lifestyle on Amsterdam and had very little to do with her. I think Daniel got in touch with Christina when he and Daisy were sending out invites to their wedding (that didn’t happen) and wanted her to come. That’s how she ended up on the cobbles. (I think)

Dads often get custody of kids in Corrie.

Glory's mum nicked off never to be seen again, even did the panto villain thing of demanding cash for the baby, so I guess she can keep her child a secret

When he was re-introduced he was somehow just living on his own as a teen at school

Then she gave him a house that he has never lived in. I still have no idea why that happened but people often have houses they don't use in Corrie

I do not think that one person has ever fully understood the back story they concocted for Cassie and Ty, not even the scriptwriters.

The most I can gather is that Evelyn dumped him at a police station, then Jackie found him and no further questions asked or something

Ahhh, thank you. I forgot that Daisy's dad was managed to Jenny! So much happens all the time in Corrie, that some of it falls out of my head! 😬

That was Johnny Connor, (Aiden's dad who drowned,) and that wasn't Daisy's dad.

Jenny was Daisy's stepmother (as Jenny was married to Daisy's dad.) She was married to Daisy's dad a few years before she met Johnny Connor.
