I'm a little bit excited. 9pm. Channel 5 for lovely comfort viewing and looking misty eyed at Siegfried 🥰

Can't wait!

Absolutely my favourite series

SiegfriedsCupofTea · 19/09/2024 20:45

Dd and I snuggle in on autumn Thursday nights. It's a great time of year for this. Ooooh Christmas special I bet too.

Hope to see something of TrickiWoo😍. My favourite - after my own dog of course!

JewelleryCat · 19/09/2024 21:59

I’m glad it’s back, I enjoy it so much. Really gentle and I love seeing the animals 🙂

spikeandbuffy · 19/09/2024 22:00

I did laugh at Frisk the cat

CarmelaBrunella · 19/09/2024 22:00

Love this! So glad it's back.

Littletoaster · 19/09/2024 22:02

Well that was lovely. Looking forward to the rest of it .

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 19/09/2024 22:02

I love it!

Did think Helen and James leaving straight after dinner for a shag was a bit rude though 🙈😂

Annnnnb · 19/09/2024 22:02

Wonderful. Mrs P saw right through that ARP warden chap didn't she! So gentle, just the kind of TV we need more of.

Spareincoming · 19/09/2024 22:02

Well I enjoyed the first episode of the season, very much comfort TV.

He was just home. I'm impressed they stayed through an entire meal. Siegfried can be rather slow on the uptake.

I entirely agree. It would have been nice but too much of a coincidence if the navigator chap had ended up at Pumphrey manor to recouperate.

Houseplanter · 19/09/2024 22:13

Oooo @Annnnnb good thinking!

InMySpareTime · 19/09/2024 22:17

They'll probably send banerjee to pomphrey manor to recuperate, even though he's with the RAF and it's the Army that requisitioned the manor.

Clawdy · 20/09/2024 08:32

So glad it's back. Need something warm and uplifting to watch!

5foot5 · 20/09/2024 10:22

Loved it. And I gather Tristan is coming back, but don't know whether that's a guest appearance or properly.

I think IRL, well certainly in the books, James did get discharged on medical grounds whereas Tristan went on to serve through the war.

I think Mrs Pumphrey could probably use her influence to allow an exception! 😂

FrostyFlo · 20/09/2024 16:50

A few things were off yesterday , the house that the cat came from , it looked like it has white pic windows . And the village was all worrying about blackout restrictions all whilst the lights were full on , no blinds etc at the windows , with headlights blazing on the lorries at the RAF base which would have been a target more so than a sleepy Yorkshire village.

Oblomov24 · 20/09/2024 17:20

Great!

NoelsDivorceLawyer · 20/09/2024 20:06

loved loved loved it!

Sourisblanche · 21/09/2024 10:21

Loved it and we did see Tricky. At first I thought it might be a prop that Mrs P dumped quite unceremoniously on the cushion but then he turned his headSmile

NeedWineNow · 21/09/2024 23:08

Well that was lovely. Cosy gentle telly, just what is needed I think.

CarmelaBrunella · 22/09/2024 08:58

That was lovely. Just right. Mrs Hall should have been in charge of the whole ARP unit! She's brilliant. I loved the cat story, and how Siegfried plays with little Jimmy.

CarmelaBrunella · 22/09/2024 09:00

@FrostyFlo - that always annoys me about British dramas, wartime or not, they always have every lamp lit, even in the day. Most people couldn't afford to anyway. That cat owner had all her lamps on, during daytime!
