Following on from the last thread.

We're currently up to where Roy has been arrested for (allegedly) killing Lauren, and Roy's dog has been stolen and the thieves are saying the dog won't be returned until Roy admits his guilt.

Leanne is being drawn into a weird cult.

Toyah is arrested for criminal damage for attacking someone's car. (Someone who thinks Roy buried Lauren in the park!) And she doesn't seem quite herself. What is wrong with her?

Joel and DeeDee are on-again-off-again ...

I'm sure there's a few more bits and bobs going on, but there's plenty of space on this thread (and time) to catch up.

I was preparing myself for weeks of traumatised Toyah and am relieved that it appears to have been done and dusted in one episode.

Surely roses aren't even in bloom this time of year anyway.

Nick had a couple of yellow roses hanging over his shoulder from a rose bush while he was outside (no idea where). They looked as though they had been stuck on a random bush. Yellow roses probably have some significance but no idea what it is.

Seems to me the Toyah storyline was intended as a red herring to make us initially think she'd killed Lauren. Might be the same with the Max flashbacks Roy was having.

I keep thinking back to that bacon sandwich in Lauren's flat. Yes it indicated that she'd probably been suddenly interrupted after making some breakfast, but somehow the emphasis given to it seemed significant. 🤔

Nothing has been logical with the Lauren storyline

Yeah this. I mean, Roy (allegedly) being her killer has been splashed all over the internet in Corrie world, and he is recognised by many. Surely Lauren (if she is still alive which she probably is) would have seen something! Or someone she knows - or is staying with - would have seen something. Why has she not come forward yet, and said 'hey, Roy is not a killer, I am here!' Unless she has been kidnapped, and is locked up somewhere.

That would tie in with the pimp/ trafficker storyline

I got it half right in my prediction of the Toyah story line !

I thought baby/miscarriage, but thought it might have been an early one when she was an eco warrior or something.

Didn't realise it would be a 26 weekend ☹️.

Bit of a dramatic storyline to go down, if it is all a setup for Toyah and Nick to get together.

Leanne is driving them together all by herself , with this super dupper positively thing she is doing.

NB....I do not know if T and N get together....but there was a lingering look the other night !

Toyahs face has changed a lot since that photo,lips mostly.
Eileen is so miserable these days.

Just caught up with last night's episode. What a weird and whacky storyline!

😆 at the Toyah comment! Also, yeah, the more I think about it, the more I wonder if Lauren HAS been kidnapped and is being held somewhere (locked up!)

Ooh so guess... I am wondering if there will be a story arc with Bethany and those that she got involved with? But they got a few years inside didn't they? Not sure of the timeline and if that guy (Nathan?) would be out on parole yet. Mind you, the writers don't seem to worry about being truthful to previous stories and what/when they happened.

As for the Toyah episode, really not sure why that happened. Is it over? Is it a segue into an affair between her and Nick? I hope not. Although Leanne is a right sourpuss, that type of story has been done so many times before.

My DS1 is like Roy. He is grown up now and was never diagnosed, he was used but no fault of mine

I think speculation is allowed here? We're always guessing stuff that might happen, as long as it's not based on any spoilers you might have seen.

Guessing a storyline is certainly not a spoiler! Surely we're all allowed to do that.

@luckylavender Eileen definitely doesn’t look fantastic. Nobody would in the same set of circumstances. What’s wrong with people showing concern for someones health? No one is going on about her weight and there are no nasty comments on here.

I think the Toyah mini storyline was just to add more drama to the Lauren thing and so they quickly invented a time where she could feasibly have hidden a pregnancy..

They have also invented that park pretty recently as far as I can tell!

My pet theory (not a spoiler, have not googled it!) as soon as Bethany made a reappearance was that its about time that Nathan came out of prison, IIRC, he went down for rape/attempted rape, not trafficking, and could potentially be out soon (or they could easily fudge it). And we know he likes naive vulnerable young ladies.

On the other hand, a total wildcard - Max did it? Went round there having found her still on OnlyFans to confront her, got in a fight, smacked her one... My theory falls apart with 'and how did little Max get her body out of the flat' but again, Corrie can fudge anything if they want! Would explain why he is SO determined to pin this on anyone he possibly can!

I wanted him to turn things around and the whole take Daniel down is old and tedious.
Is Max a murderer though or was he in cahoots with Nathan's groomer gang ?
He's been exploited by a gang before

Remember when Bethany first came back? Who was she on the phone to secretively? Could that be linked to it?

Maybe Bethany is an undercover reporter and doing a storyline on trafficking/predators of young girls and she knows Nathan is out of prison or due to be out. That could account for the side-eye phone calls?
