Following on from the last thread.

We're currently up to where Roy has been arrested for (allegedly) killing Lauren, and Roy's dog has been stolen and the thieves are saying the dog won't be returned until Roy admits his guilt.

Leanne is being drawn into a weird cult.

Toyah is arrested for criminal damage for attacking someone's car. (Someone who thinks Roy buried Lauren in the park!) And she doesn't seem quite herself. What is wrong with her?

Joel and DeeDee are on-again-off-again ...

I'm sure there's a few more bits and bobs going on, but there's plenty of space on this thread (and time) to catch up.

He said "good job you contacted me" (or words to that effect) to the girl

Maybe Carla's had so many crap relationships with men she's going to venture into women 🤷‍♀️🤣

It made no sense that the girl would contact Joel, because she is supposedly terrified of him and knows what he did to Lauren. So surely she would want to keep well away.

He really laid into her. I do wonder why???
@SabreIsMyFave I thought that it was probably explained when the cop gave the reasoning to Nathan as to why he did it (when they showed the chair leg scene the first time). That he tried to pressure Lauren to do something but did not realise she had been abused previously (by the gang) and because of the previous abuse she stood up to him, and he thwacked her.

I thought at the time the reasoning made little sense, because a young girl who has been abused is more likely to be vulnerable and afraid to stand up to an aggressive man bullying her.

Bethany is surely too old for Joel, he likes them teenage and very vulnerable.

You could be right yeah... (about why Joel attacked Lauren.)

And yes about Bethany. She is a bit old for Joel. She looks young though, and has been manipulated before by these horrible male grooming gangs. So maybe he fancies his chances! Some men are such pigs aren't they? Going for such young girls/women. I guess they (many of them) are more gullible, vulnerable, and easy to manipulate than a woman say, in her 30s - or older. I'm sure Bethany will be OK, and hopefully, will take Joel and his whole crew down.

After seeing how hard he battered her I’m surprised there were only a few specks of blood on the wall. Someone had done a real clean up job prior to Roy!
