In the continued absence of Dr Who and the luscious David Tennant, I am looking forward to Torchwood tonight and the almost as gorgeous Captain Jack. Bring it on!

Yeah can't wait, My mum had not heard of Torchwood (she was ill last year) and wants to see it tonight.
She is more interested in the fact that it is in Cardiff and she wants to spot the landmarks!

Excited is the wrong word..

mournfully resigned covers my feelings better

Ripeberry · 16/01/2008 09:56

Why is that SB?

Chamomile · 16/01/2008 10:01

Yes !
DS2 has been doing a daily countdown to his birthday tomorrow ( for weeks, like they do ) and I've been mentally subtracting a day till TW starts.

SueBaroo · 16/01/2008 10:06

Ripeberry, because it's mostly complete bobbins, but I am compelled to watch it because of my obssessive completist Whovian tendencies.

It might be good. A few episodes of the first series were.

Domesticgodless · 16/01/2008 10:07

Am I right in thinking Jack is going to snog James Marsters

I think I will be watching THAT

Domesticgodless · 16/01/2008 10:08

I mean, who needs decent plot/dialogue??

MummyDoIt · 16/01/2008 10:14

Apparently, we're supposed to find out a bit more about Jack's history in this series. Could be interesting.

I'm looking forward to it, though I'm supposed to be at book group.

"Bobbins" is a Mark Radcliffe word, I think?....

WanderingTrolley · 16/01/2008 10:27

I'm going to watch it precariously balanced between loving Cap'n Jack and loathing the Welsh woman, as I did the last series.

CatIsSleepy · 16/01/2008 10:30

yup I'm excited-it's supposed to be better than the last series (well according to the Guardian Guide) and there's bugger-all else good on at the moment

it does make me laugh, as am in Cardiff.

On the bus we always have all these very old, prudish looking ladies discussing it. So you will have an incredibly violent death scene or an explicit sex scene with all the trimmings and they will be sat there saying "and didn't the Millenium Centre look LOVELY.".

SueBaroo · 16/01/2008 11:42

um, bobbins was a word my mother used all the time in place of 'bo**ocks'. I don't pinch my euphemisms from any but family, ta very much.

lilibet · 16/01/2008 14:09

I am really looking forward to it. I have a very soft spot for the lovely Owen.

Subaroo, have you seen Aladdin with John Barrowman yet, we went on New Years Eve.

SueBaroo · 16/01/2008 14:13

lilibet, I have indeed. Very much rofflement over the pretty young men he was surrounded with

MaryAnnSingleton · 16/01/2008 14:14

me me me !!!!!

MaryAnnSingleton · 16/01/2008 14:15

did you not see the clips that someone, possibly Unquiet, posted ?

captainmummy · 16/01/2008 14:18

Sorry ????The lovely Owen??? Now, I have an Owen of my own, but this one - he has no lips! How could you even dream of kissing this face? How his mouth doesn't fray I don't know.

MaryAnnSingleton · 16/01/2008 14:18

no, I can't see anything lovely about Owen, Ianto however,....

Cappuccino · 16/01/2008 14:20

am looking very forward but for similar reasons to Sue; also wishing to see dear James Marsters again, and hoping he has grown a bit taller in his absence

I had forgotten all about bobbins. I must use it more.

Oh I agree about Owen he is vile. I don't want to see him with his top off ever again.

lilibet · 16/01/2008 14:21

Oh yes, especially when he came out with the line "Dancing boys!!!!!!...........Dancing girls!!!!!!!!!!!!..............something for everyone at Aladdin's palace"

It was a very good show tho, we loved the genie!

And ds1 who is 14 and not impressed by anything absolutley loved The Grumbleweeds

Polgara2 · 16/01/2008 14:21

Oh yes looking forward to it!
