BBC CASUALTY - terror rampage death guilt
Blondeshavemorefun · 23/06/2022 17:08
New thread
ww have David struggling with ollies decisions
Will robin be surrogate
Steve is still annoying
faith and Dylan
I hope storylines get better. Been a bit meh recently
TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 23/06/2022 17:16
Thanks for the new thread. I’ll add my list of thoughts:
I hate Faith’s hair.
I continue to feel nothing for the receptionist chap and am still baffled by the whole catfishing storyline that we’re all supposed to forget about as he has some kind of weird redemption arc. I was entirely distracted in the last episode by the fact that we were meant to believe that that lovely young teacher was once engaged to him.
Rash and Paige have zero chemistry.
Dylan needs a proper storyline because he’s the only one who can act.
Blondeshavemorefun · 23/06/2022 18:30
Finally seen last weeks
ollie didn’t want to kill
he didn’t shoot the girl
and tried to hand gun over
will police take that into consideration
Bless faith daughter Natalie.
She had to tell David
I did wonder if he would die
Shame as didn't really say why he decided to be friends with the bully and start a rampage
Have we seen Ollie mum David's ex before
Not sure why. I thought she was dead
spiderlight · 23/06/2022 19:13
Cheery threat title!! 😆
I think we have seen Ollie's mum before - there was a bit of to-ing and fro-ing about whether Ollie would live with David a few years back, if I remember rightly.
Blondeshavemorefun · 23/06/2022 19:26
I thought so @spiderlight 😂😂
usually it’s who isn’t coming back and leaves without notice 😂
Hellocatshome · 23/06/2022 19:30
I would like to think Olli didnt actually shoot anyone but we don't know that for sure. I'm not sure if the police would actually investigate exactly who shot who given the two gunmen are dead and most of the witnesses are dead as well would they?
PeasInOurTime · 23/06/2022 19:33
I care so little for most* of the characters. They should have closed the A&E dept not the Holby wards….
*Except Dylan and… well just Dylan!

Surely they would test his hands for gunpowder
daffodilandtulip · 23/06/2022 22:23
I like Stevie, in that she hasn't morphed into a bland typical nicey casualty doctor. She's kept the horribleness she arrived with. I like to watch her.
And Dylan obv. More Dylan please!
LisaSimpson77 · 23/06/2022 22:27

The other shooter wasn't the bully. He was being bullied and the other shooter (Rob?) told him that he was his only friend, the only person he could trust blah blah... then when Ollie had been isolated from everybody else he started to get really intense.
MrsLighthouse · 24/06/2022 22:45
Dylan is underused.
Faith’s fringe needs its own storyline.
Stevie is like the colleague no one wants to sit next to at work.
Sah is believable but needs to lighten up.
Marty is sweet.
Iain is the man who does everything for everyone but never gets round to changing a lightbulb at home.
All the casualties are bad actors.
I ❤️ It so much !!!
spiderlight · 26/06/2022 00:01
Weird second episode! Surely not even Stevie, not even on her worst, maddest, most unhinged day, would take a patient to see her dead mum while she still has a scaffolding pole through her?!
Hellocatshome · 26/06/2022 09:10
Stevie annoys me so much. She really needs some sort of counselling around her sisters death. You would think after attempting to stab Ethan over his part in it some sort of treatment would be a condition of her keeping her job.
SoupDragon · 26/06/2022 09:14
Stevie of bloody awful. She needs to be suspended for her dreadful attitude.
and yes, who takes someone to see their dead mother when the body hasn't been prepared and the pole removed!
AnImaginaryCat · 26/06/2022 09:42
Jason Durr's acting skills hit a new low. In fact, it's now on a par with Derek Thompson woodenness. Need less of them both. Or none of them. Then we'd just be left with the receptionist as irritating. Could live with one rubbish character to laugh at.
I'm okay with Faith's fringe.
(Also, on a tangent I like Faith's daughter's cardigan. (Can't really recall her name - Natalia?) Not sure it's right to want clothing a teenager was wearing on TV!!)
AnImaginaryCat · 26/06/2022 10:12
Do you think Stevie is supposed to be a replacement for Connie. In the "spikey female" genre.
Impressed with how quick Stevie diagnosed epilepsy. Though suprised Stevie showing the daughter her dead mother with a giant pole in her didn't trigger a seizure of some sort considering she would be on any epilepsy medication.
SoupDragon · 26/06/2022 10:32
Stevie isn't a "spikey female" though. She is antagonistic, rude and unprofessional. Connie was bolshy, yes, but not like this I don't think. As was Jaq Naylor. They were spikey women dome properly I think.
i think they've gone over the top with her TBH.
LisaSimpson77 · 26/06/2022 10:49
Connie and Jaq were spiky in an "I don't accept your bullshit" strong woman kind of way.
Stevie just comes across as unhinged, even if she is a good doctor.
AnImaginaryCat · 26/06/2022 12:11
Don't mean she's the same as Connie, just that the script writer feel there needs to be a woman that is outspoken and that doesn't matter if that's because she's unhinged or forthright. You know, they have to fit women into quirky, caring and spikey roles.
I want more Ash. I used to like Ethan but he's character has changed too much.
Runkle · 26/06/2022 16:01
Did anyone else notice continuity failures with Faith's hair and Dylan's hair? The story with the gerbil was so silly. The actor playing the groom was awful.
TrashyPanda · 26/06/2022 18:19
Random thoughts
Faiths hair is so bad. Whatever happened after her storyline picking up that guy? It was just left hanging.
receptionist annoys me. But then Noel annoyed me too.
Paige didn’t look quite so much like a childrens entertainer
i think Jason Durr is a good actor. But there is no way Rosa wouldn’t be there. She loved Ollie.
instead of the 2nd Holby school shooting, it would be more realistic to have Stevie going berserk with a weapon in the ED. With any luck, Charlie would be the first victim, putting him out of his misery dying a thousand deaths every time he attempts to act. I’ve noticed he’s often holding papers as he teeters across the set. Makes me wonder if his lines are on them.
dylan is wonderful. Best character and best actor
Sah seems to adore being miserable.
purpleme12 · 26/06/2022 21:52
I don't know what all this palaver was about the gerbil
He was old enough to explain he's died and not replace it and pretend it's the same one!!! (Not that I would do that at any age anyway)
Ridiculous storyline that one
Has Rosa been written out of it then?!! So strange!!
Hellocatshome · 26/06/2022 21:59
Gerbil storyline was completely pointless. If he was old enough to get to the hospital by himself he was old enough to know the difference between a hospital and a vets. I think it was supposed to show Marty was good with kids or something.
SoupDragon · 26/06/2022 22:58
Yes - Marty and kids is a good call for the bizarre gerbil story.
