Endeavour, new series Sunday!

Anyone else excited about the return of Endeavour tomorrow night??

Really looking forward to it!

Yay!!! I love Endeavour, and somehow I never seem to find out in advance that a new series is coming out, so big thanksfor the heads-up OP!

Clashes with Vigil, and being old-fashioned I like to watch stuff in 'real time'.

@lazylinguist I only found out myself yesterday, have been super excited ever since!

(Clearly I am very rock and roll 😂😂)

@eddiemairswife It does seem as though there hasn't been anything worth watching in months and now suddenly everything good is pitted against each other in the same time slots!

I've just finished watching the whole 7 series so this is nice. I'm not a binge watcher, it took me 2 years! I never watch live TV.
I'll put it on series link and spin it out.
Funny that it clashes with Vigil as Sean Evans in both.

I've never even heard of Vigil .

Oooo thanks for the heads up! I love Endeavour. Won’t watch it live as it’ll have about an hours worth of adverts. I’ll probably watch it on Monday evening.

I don’t think it’s normally on this time of year is it?

I agree Princess. I usually record what's on itv or channel 4 so I can speed through the adverts.

@PrincessMaryaBolkonskaya No, it's usually released in February (can everyone sense ny Shaun Evans crush? 😂) but was delayed due to Covid.

Think there's only 3 in this series, sadly!

That’s right, it’s a February show. I won’t turn my nose up, I’ve missed it. But I do enjoy it getting me through a dark February Monday night.

What happened to Vera? I mean like Endeavour but surely the new Vera had only just started or am I confused?

On the last one there was a credit for someone who had died. I heard it was Covid and that put an end to filming this series.

Love the cultural references - Fenner Fashions from the Rag Trade, This is Your Life etc

Loving the new series. Can’t get over how slim the actor playing Strange is now looking. He must have lost a load of weight.

I share your Sean Evans crush. Especially in Endeavour. The beard in Vigil - not so good...

Yes! I hadn’t twigged the clothes were too big but they are!!!!!!

They have mentioned a couple of times that he (Jim Strange) has been through a tough time. Did he get shot or something at the end of the last series, I can't remember.

Took me a minute to realise it was Strange! His voice seemed different too.

Poor old Endeavour, he was a weary old soul this evening. 😢

I love Endeavour but was quite disappointed with that episode. Perhaps I'd been looking forward to it too much, but it just didn't do it for me. I'm feeling quite deflated
Maybe I need to get a life and not be so invested in a TV show 🤷

He's hidden behind a massive ginger beard and has a Scouse accent and no twinkle in his eye. Unlike Endeavour.
