I was listening to an interview with Rylan Clark-Neal a little while ago and he said before each series of Big Brother he speaks to every contestant individually and reminds them that if they don't say it or do it, they can't film it or edit it to cast them in a bad light.

There has to be some element of personal responsibility.

Exactly. Given how long these kinds of programmes have been around for, you can't say any of them were tricked into it and truly believed that the producers genuinely wanted to help the love of their life

Even the ones that have "found love" are doing pretty well financially because of it. I don't wish to be too cynical but I'm sure the cash helps them feel even more in love.

Some of these appeared to be in it for the 15 minutes, clicks, shits and giggles. And, as you say, the ones who found love did not do too shabbily out of it either.

I’d always have a wee bit worrying whether or not someone was in it for me or for the poundage. They’d get plenty of poundage. Not the one they expected. Tis also known as stones.

I thought her make up looked really bright and fresh in comparison to Instabitches but I can't find an eyeshadow that looks right.

It isn’t racist or mean or nasty - maaaaarfa was the one popping out the nasty insults. That isn’t the case with this thread as far as I can see.

I think it is meant entirely affectionately. It is by me anyway. We know it is Cyrell. But she was oor Cyril.

Cyril was pretty much a term of affection for me, and like Sheldon much done in the "nice on Cyril" line of things although I realise that's an old phrase and probably won't mean a thing to many on here!

The trolling is bad especially if they’ve been threatened. Deal with any threats individually rather than squeaking for compo.

I know I’ve been critical of some on here but judging their edited/non edited behaviour then you should be permitted to call it out.

Trolling threats should be taken up with the individual.

You can’t put yourself out in a reality programme and not expect comments (more so if you go rogue/arsehole/cheater/whatever) - it goes with the territory bruv.

Actual threats are summat different entirely and should be dealt with by police.

I did wonder 'for what'....surely their contract is fairly tight in a way that would prevent them suing for a lot of things (like matching them with a total, polar opposite, twonk). But I wonder if the psych ixpert leaving and citing grounds for concern would give them some traction (ie in the contract it says we've got an ixpert, but said ixpert is saying she was ignored).

Either that or they found out someone got paid more than them!

Well, hiiii! I have been watching but behind all of you, and just watched the final episode last night. I'm gobsmacked to be honest - I've never watched MAFS or any reality TV dating show before (well not since Cilla), and I cannot quite get my head round people!

I loved Cyrell with every inch of my being. I have a friend exactly like her - a fierce, loyal, but terrifying woman who I am so glad to have on my side. You know where you stand with people like that.
I also loved Nic, he just seemed like an all-round nice guy. My other faves were Jules, Ning, and Heidi.

I feel that Heidi was being gaslighted the whole time by John and Mike. John is a despicable human being. Even in the last episode when Heidi has finally cut ties the ixperts were trying to get her to go back to him - she had literally managed to find the strength to leave an emotionally abusive relationship and they tried to put doubts in her head. Having been in an abusive relationship (many years ago), that made me feel ill.

Martha is another disgusting person - I can't believe Michael is still with her. She has changed him through her controlling behaviour and he looks like a different person. She was constantly stirring the pot and then stepping back and her whiny child voice was just so contrived, she must have thought it made her sound cute or something. Grim.

Jules absolutely hit the nail on the head - there were women and then there were girls. The generation gap was a canyon.

There's not much to say about Jess is there - vacuous, believes her own bullshit. Just so little self awareness, humility, and dignity.

I liked Simon from that series, and the cowboy bloke and I can't recall her name. Nick Furphy cropped up somewhere else the other day and it took me ages to place him but he's paired with one of the twins I think?

Anthony apparently became one of the most hated men in Australia after that series!

Yes - Susan and the cowboy are lovely together. I suspect they don't make it because of the distance between them. (No spoilers!)

Simon is also lovely.
