I’ve binge watched for 2 days as I’m ill. I never tire of it. I have one niggle: about Pete and Dawn’s children. Why do they look so young in the vow renewal scene? If they were that young, they’d have been round at Pam and Mick’s all the time too.

Was a bit weird yesterday seeing Pam Ferris in G and S followed by Matilda.

My favourite characters are Ness and Bryn. I like Ness the way I liked Father Jack. Every single thing they say is funny and you just want to hear more.

All the episodes including series 3 are on bbc iPlayer just now.

I bloody love G & S I always have a little warm fuzzy feeling seeing the family gatherings in Pam and Mick's that's my ideal family set up.

I love Pam, I want to be her when I'm a grown up, her pretending to be a vegetarian and her tantrum over the steaks! 😂
My family also agree that when it comes to takeaways, I AM Smithy, I don't share.

madeyemoodysmum · 02/01/2019 19:12

Pam and Bryn are best

Cocochicago · 02/01/2019 19:19

I quite like Dawny! Does she really have no redeeming features?
I think i'd quite like to share a bottle of fizz with her and Pam Grin

I just finally saw season 3 now they have all been addd to iPlayer as I had only just caught the first 2 on Netflix, I am so behind the times but I absolutely loved it! I’m already ready for a rewatch of it all!

jollyjester · 02/01/2019 19:35

I love Pam! She definitely got some of the best lines!

CharlieBrowns1987 · 02/01/2019 19:46

Smithy: I’ve thought about ending it all. How many ibuprofen do you reckon it would take?

Gav: a bloke your size? Hundreds!

Smithy: well I can’t afford that can I? Not if I’m gonna have a holiday this year.

I love the ‘Scott and Charlene’ wedding music as well!

ItsHardToExplain · 02/01/2019 20:00

Nessa talking about Neil the baby when he’s newborn she’s says something like she loves him and wouldn’t be without him but he’s needy. He’s always me me me and wanting something from her Grin

Crosser62, it's the way she rinses two fingers in the kitchen sink and tells Gwen she doesn't need the batteries anymore!!

8DaysAWeek · 02/01/2019 20:10

It's funny Netflix only have series 1&2 as a while ago they only had 2&3. So I saw both of these before I even realised I'd never seen the first series! Was always a bit confused as to who Ness even was in relation to Stacey.

I really like Pete and Dawn! When Pete punches the bus driver. Or when they are talking to Pam about that online thing where Pete asked if he should divorce Dawn.

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 02/01/2019 20:36

“They’ll be calling me ‘Three Steaks Pam’ down that golf club and you know I’ve only just got over what they called me when I had that urine infection.”

😂

CantstandmLMs · 02/01/2019 23:27

In episode 2 when Pam thinks Gavin's been beating Stacey. "It's alright my little prince, we can get you help 😂😂

Chosennone · 02/01/2019 23:40

Just binge watched them all. Brilliant. The KFC scene, Rudy and Smithy rapping. Dor absolutely 'twatted' . I love it when Stacey is that bored she has 3 wanks before 'cash in the attic and the boys are all gobsmacked! 🤣🤣

Drogosnextwife · 02/01/2019 23:49

Stacey is or was married to Moira from emmerdales deceased husband.

Weirdlookingbricks · 03/01/2019 00:06

I know - on excellent authority - that Uncle Bryn is based on a real life character.

TheEfficientBaxter · 03/01/2019 00:55

"You leek-munching sheep shagger"

Gets me every time! 🤣

JessieMcJessie · 03/01/2019 01:16

I was going to mention that Cash in the Attic line Chosenone! Grin made me choke on my tea the first time I heard it!
Duggees Matthew Baynton lives near me, he’s always pushing his toddler next to me at the swings! Did you see him in You, Me and The Apocalypse? It was fab.

LOL at the idea of Rob Bryden, Larry Lamb and Alison Steadman becoming famous because of G& S! I think that the show attracted a lot of really accomplished actors because the writing was just so exceptional.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 03/01/2019 07:07

My absolute favourite part is Pete rehearsing his wedding renewal vows:
‘lights will gu-i-i-i-ide you home and ign-i-i-i-i-te your bones’
Genius.

DuggeesWooOOooggle · 03/01/2019 07:17

Ahh and he's a lovely dad too Jessie. You just know if you took him home to see your mum she'd go all soppy over him!

I love the Pete & Dawn relationship, a bit like Smithy and his sister - fighting constantly but you know they love each other deep down.

TulipsInbloom1 · 03/01/2019 07:24

I think ive watched this 25000 times through - pete and dawn dont have kids!

Holidayshopping · 03/01/2019 07:41

Who are the kids at their wedding vow renewal then?

PirateWeasel · 03/01/2019 07:51

Doris is absolute genius. "To tell you the truth, Gwen, I'm absolutely twatted." and "You're just needy, man, always poking me on Facebook, and following me round Lidl or Costcutter whatever" 😂

ChesterGreySideboard · 03/01/2019 08:02

Is it assumed that they are their children though? Could they not be niece and nephew or the children of friends?
