I’ve binge watched for 2 days as I’m ill. I never tire of it. I have one niggle: about Pete and Dawn’s children. Why do they look so young in the vow renewal scene? If they were that young, they’d have been round at Pam and Mick’s all the time too.

Was a bit weird yesterday seeing Pam Ferris in G and S followed by Matilda.

My favourite characters are Ness and Bryn. I like Ness the way I liked Father Jack. Every single thing they say is funny and you just want to hear more.

Ahh love G&S. Yes, I always think they're mean to Dino! Especially since he went to all that effort and learnt Welsh!

I love how many gags on here that I've also spotted, and a few to watch out for . My most recent spot is Nessa complaining in season 1 about her ex friend Carol Powell who moved away and never spoke to her again. I've only just noticed that not long after, Bryn asks Dick Powell if he's heard from his daughter Carol lately!

So many crackers though. Pete's mum behind the bar all night is my favourite. Oh- and "ours not to reason while".

The only slip up in an otherwise perfect show is when Ness tells Mick that she never learnt to drive but then turns up in a massive HGV and mentions that she drove for The Who.
Or have I imagined it?

No, it's one of two fails I've spotted. Non driving Ness getting an HGV licence and Dawn & Pete's kids. I'm sure it's mentioned that they have daughters but they have a son & daughter at the vow renewal, I think?

Nessa probably drove for The Who without a valid driving licence because, well, she's Nessa.

Eddie Stobart would want a licence though?

When Mick asks her I always took it to mean does she currently drive, as in own a car, drive around Barry etc, as opposed to can she drive. It's been that long since I've watched that episode though, I can't remember.

Nessa probably shagged Eddie Stobart - along with John Prescott and all of Goldie Lookin' Chain - and then he'd have turned a blind eye to her lack of qualifications.

Possibly Gabriel and she did have to sell the trucks Eddie gave her as they were too difficult to park round Barry. And then Dave Coaches came along and who needs a car/lorry then?

Doesn’t Nessa wonder whether Carol wasn’t people trafficked? And then thinks maybe not as she was bigger than Ness.

Binge watching this thanks to this thread. I had forgotten just how much of the History Boys (also on Iplayer recently) cast turned up in it. I knew a few of the Essex boys were but I never registered that Fingers was or that Pete was the PE teacher in the History Boys. It's like James Corden just invited his mates from doing the film along to do G& S. Except Dominic Cooper but I guess he was off doing Mamma Mia.

Also I thought Stobart was immune to Nessas sexual charms, so she probably does have an HGV licence!

Just watching the episode where Nessa has the baby. I'm liking that they do the whole thing of sitting around at home timing contractions and phoning the hospital for advice before driving in, and that Pam's labour was 39 hours. Makes a change from the usual TV thing of waters breaking followed by mad rush to hospital (possibly in ambulance) with the baby arriving in what seems like less than hour. I thought that was what it was like for everyone until I went to antenatal classes

Yes! And the fact she was on all fours (home from home love) whilst giving birth. Much more realistic.

Though at one point she wants Dave to climb on, in front of everyone!

I Have lived reading this thread..so many incredible one-liners! Am up every night with my newborn so tonight we’re going to binge watch from the start (again!). Such a brilliant show.

I watched a few episodes again this afternoon and noticed a few more things I missed the first time. The one when they all go to the beach and Doris is reading Jordans autobiography! I had never noticed that before and it tickled me!
