I’ve binge watched for 2 days as I’m ill. I never tire of it. I have one niggle: about Pete and Dawn’s children. Why do they look so young in the vow renewal scene? If they were that young, they’d have been round at Pam and Mick’s all the time too.

Was a bit weird yesterday seeing Pam Ferris in G and S followed by Matilda.

My favourite characters are Ness and Bryn. I like Ness the way I liked Father Jack. Every single thing they say is funny and you just want to hear more.

I also love the bit where Nessa is going through all the food things they need for her wedding and she names Gwen as making it all, except the cheese and pineapple which is the only thing Nessa is doing. Then you see Gwen doing that as well!

I love the party at Pam and Mick's in series 3 where they do the Congo into garden, from extras you see all the crew joined it, it looks like such a fun series to be part of

Parties at P & M do seem like good fun, although usually end up with a fight

Love it! Watching the beach outing at the moment. Love Nessa's 'special tap' on the bucket and the look she gives Smithy! Gavin and Stacey are so vanilla, I wonder if it was written to be like that or just evolved after a few episodes. Agree love the Essex get togethers

I actually said this yesterday!
In pub DP asked what I would like, I said a pint.
He then asked 'a pint of what'
I couldn't resist pulling out the welsh accent and saying 'a pint...of wine'
He got me a pint of martini and lemonade instead 😂

"don't marry him" Smithy to Nessa after Dave coaches proposes... Bloody KFC corn on the cob causes all sorts of problems 🤣

When everyone's opening presents at Christmas I always think of 'It's the Snickers from a box of Celebrations' and then everyone commiserating with Gwen for getting the Bounty

DH comments that I watch it all the time, but he's never sat down properly to watch it. The other day he sat down for a bit while it was on and said "so, it's really more about these two (Ness and Smithy) then?" and I guess he wasn't exactly wrong. Particularly in the second and third series.

Favourite bits include:
When Stacey is telling Pam about her morning and Pam says, "Not being funny, you need to get a life. What you said just then was really boring"
And Smithy complaining about when everyone gets a takeaway and wants to share.

And after the remote control bazzeries/me time scene, Nessa comes in, says "turns out I didn't need em" Goes to the kitchen and rinses her fingers 😂😂

One of the best programs ever, it's always my go to when there's nowt on and I still laugh as hard. I want to come back as Nessa in my next life.

I think of Gavin’s family and Stacey as the straightman in a comedy act. It doesn’t matter that they’ve not got the gags, they’re the anchor and the funny bits happen around them.

Nessa reminds me of Andy Pipkin in Little Britain and Maris in Frasier in that they have done and said any number of fantastical things.

Why is Nessa so callous with Gwen? Is it just a running joke, or,is it that she’s playing out her teenage years with the mum she never had?

I don’t think she’s callous, just brutally honest in a Nessa kind of way. She’s not nice to anyone really?
