I’ve binge watched for 2 days as I’m ill. I never tire of it. I have one niggle: about Pete and Dawn’s children. Why do they look so young in the vow renewal scene? If they were that young, they’d have been round at Pam and Mick’s all the time too.

Was a bit weird yesterday seeing Pam Ferris in G and S followed by Matilda.

My favourite characters are Ness and Bryn. I like Ness the way I liked Father Jack. Every single thing they say is funny and you just want to hear more.

Binge watching the entire series tonight (got the 6 DVD set from my local charity shop) and am in 7th heaven, looking out for all the things I missed the first and second time round.

I definitely missed that actual Noel from Hearsay came to the stag do and wedding the first time around!

Also Nessa’s dad calls her sugartits

It’s quite interesting that Nessa tells Stacey she thinks less of her for coming off the pill without telling Gavin.

But let's not forget her first husband Clive who died whilst faking his own death 😂

Been binge watching them all again. Can’t believe they are over a decade old now, in the wedding episode the date of their wedding is April 2007 so they would have been married almost 12 years in RL!

I always hoped they’d do another special but I doubt it now after so long.

When nessa talks about being Richard and Judys nanny- ‘Judy would be on the whisky and Richard and I would make love sometimes for whole Sunday’s’ 😂

Noel’s on Dave’s stag. Which consists of Dave and Nessa’s dad.

I love the Richard and Judy reference. It still makes me laugh.

Me and DD watched the outtakes this morning (part of my charity shop DVD boxset) and the warmth and friendship between all the actors is lovely to see. I also loved seeing Nessa driving the lorry down the road and scraping a few parked cars in the process, and the horror on the faces of the crew as she did it.

Was just thinking this morning how great it would be to have Nessa on BBC news interviewing the politicians. She'd cut straight through the waffle.

What I love about gavin and Stacey is that you can watch it for the 10th time and still spot new things, there’s lots of subtle humour and little references that are easily missed. It’s aged very well too imo.

Is the Christmas specia the one where Bryn talks of the "two great nations" - that bit made me laugh

Didn’t remember the bit in the kitchen where Bryan gets himself a glass of milk. If I was at home, I’d make myself a nesquick

I’m laid up in bed unwell and this thread has inspired me to re-watch it on the iplayer. I’m on episode 3 so far.
Previous posters were right that you see so much more when you re-watch. Gwen comments in episode one how ‘Bryn is a giver!’

Currently up to series 2 episode 1 and they’ve just come back from honeymoon so Pam is banging on about some holiday where they didn’t change the bedsheets so she set traps. ‘So I had him by the throat, this Stelios’ - classic!

I love all the references to Lucy, Smithy’s first girlfriend. Clearly she’s borderline age-wise!
