On tonight at 9 on ITV, this is a six part murder mystery set set against the backdrop of Loch Ness. It looks promising and I love watching Siobhan Finneran:

Who killed the piano teacher?
Why?

Figgygal · 18/07/2017 12:49

Total rubbish!!

Was only watching for the scenery really

And Alan the hunky husband he was worth it

Could have been 4 episodes long

thegirlwhowaited · 18/07/2017 16:51

Does anyone know what jacket Quigley was wearing please?

I want one.

And I want a house up there because it looks beautiful. but can probably only afford the coat

Cocolepew · 18/07/2017 17:42

It was a Barbour jacket she wore out and about.

thegirlwhowaited · 19/07/2017 01:19

Thank you Coco Smile

Time to get googly shopping ...

SapphireStrange · 19/07/2017 11:34

What a load of old toot.

Loved her from Happy Valley though.

Forensic 'expert' guy was utterly unconvincing.

Why exactly did they DNA-test the men? That wouldn't help to find the killer, would it? It seemed like just a plot device to enable Bea to avoid having her son tested, and therefore to tip off us and Annie about her being suspicious.

hollyisalovelyname · 20/07/2017 15:36

Could somebody please answer my questions?

Clawdy · 20/07/2017 20:49

holly I am pretty sure the abusive father just visited once and was killed by his son. As for your other questions, I'd love to know the answers too! The writer needs to step up and explain. We really needed a Death in Paradise-type ending where we saw a flashback of all the murders and how they were done!Grin

Esspee · 20/07/2017 21:40

My OH drove me nuts by continually pointing out the scenes shot at Loch Lomond instead of Loch Ness. No doubt done to cut costs.

SapphireStrange · 21/07/2017 09:46

I think coma boy tried to kill Allbrighton just because a) he was disturbed and b) Allbrighton was snooping and threatened to find out his secret.

I think they just let the 'who killed the piano teacher?' storyline drift when they switched focus to Kieran/Jordan. Or, is it possible he DID just fall, and it was just put in to make the doctor and the college teacher look suspicious?

Figgygal · 21/07/2017 10:03

That entire episode around the boat guy and his old prison buddy should have been avoided it was filler and added nothing

hollyisalovelyname · 21/07/2017 15:41

Thanks Sapphire.

Procrastination4 · 22/07/2017 01:29

Holly, "Kieron" imposter Jordan killed the piano teacher because, in his own words, "he was trying to get in my head".

hollyisalovelyname · 22/07/2017 13:35

Thank you Procrastination

CloudNinetyNine · 24/07/2017 22:49

Why couldn't Jordon (ex-army one) have joined the college without pretending to be his brother?
Why did the real Keiron (coma boy) not want to "go back to that place", or whatever - nothing 'bad' was happening to him was it?

SapphireStrange · 25/07/2017 11:42

Why couldn't Jordon (ex-army one) have joined the college without pretending to be his brother?

I thought it was because he'd killed someone and left under a shadow. His mum said she wanted him to have another chance.

Don't know about real Keiran not wanting to "go back to that place" (can't remember that, actually).

Arkengarthdale · 25/07/2017 14:05

And the ex army one was about 24, far too old for 6th form

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 25/07/2017 14:11

I think what my fingers look like after an hour in the bath.
Wouldn't the body be a bit soggier and wrinkly after a few weeks in the Loch?

CloudNinetyNine · 25/07/2017 15:14

And the ex army one was about 24, far too old for 6th form
I thought in Scotland it was just 'college' and anyone of any age can attend.
And the college wouldn't be allowed to reveal his past if he was able to be enrolled - did he murder someone or was it an 'accident'?

I though Keiron said something about 'not going back' or 'don't send me back' just before he fell backwards off the cliff.

picklemepopcorn · 25/07/2017 15:16

Kieron didn't want to go back and be drugged back into a coma!

picklemepopcorn · 25/07/2017 15:17

He was just trying to escape, didn't know who to trust, given that his family were drugging him every time he showed signs of waking up.

CloudNinetyNine · 25/07/2017 15:41

But would have known he was being drugged for no reason? I would have thought he'd just be very confused/ disorientated but not wanting to kill himself.

Anyway, not any likeable characters in the programme - Evie was a right pain in the arse and I didn't find her mum a very convincing police officer.

picklemepopcorn · 25/07/2017 20:40

I thought he was just running away, in a confused kind of way

picklemepopcorn · 25/07/2017 20:51

I agree about Evie. And after a summer like that, when she lost all her friends, she headed off to Australia in a taxi, not even taken to the station/airport!

hollyisalovelyname · 26/07/2017 14:28

I thought not bringing her to the airport a bit odd too.
