On tonight at 9 on ITV, this is a six part murder mystery set set against the backdrop of Loch Ness. It looks promising and I love watching Siobhan Finneran:

^ Oh...scrub that: OP states in her title post that it's a 6-parter.

crumbsinthecutlerydrawer · 15/06/2017 19:05

Oops, probably should have read the OP properly. Blush

NotCitrus · 16/06/2017 14:27

Loved the first ep - went on holiday to Loch Ness last year so looked familiar. I always have subtitles on anyway! Smile

diddl · 16/06/2017 20:21

Enjoying it so far.

Love Siobhan Finneran, Laura Fraser & Alastair Mackenzie

Any one watching?

We have a doctor from Casualty, a bloke who played a young lad in Where The Heart Is a million years ago, a great actress who was sister to Sarah Lancashire's character in Happy Valley, a girl sans make up from The Fall and John Sessions.

And a very dodgy plot, lots of gorgeous views and dead wolves. And am I the only one who thinks it is so obviously the bloke married to the rookie detective who did it?

And the drum beat really grates.

Clawdy · 18/06/2017 22:41

And wasn't the detective's husband a killer in Coronation Street? Probably too many male characters here, too.

Gemini69 · 18/06/2017 22:43

it's sooooooooooooooo slow moving

thereallochnessmonster · 18/06/2017 22:48

Hmm. Just seen the first one so far.

Slow moving.

Very spooky music when anything bad is about to happen.

Very like Shetland - beautiful scenery and lots of murders!

Hmm. Hope it speeds up a bit.

Ankleswingers · 18/06/2017 22:52

DH and I are watched about half of the first episode tonight. It was so slow we fell asleep.

Agree with too many characters to get to grips with as well as awful dialogue.

Had to turn the Tv on the loudest setting and even then they still mumbled.

Will give it a go again though.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 18/06/2017 23:09

Not a clue what's going on but enjoying the scenery.

amnesty124 · 19/06/2017 08:27

it was the teacher in the first episode. I'm sure.

Cagliostro · 19/06/2017 08:30

Looks interesting. I need more drama to watch so will find this on catch up!

AmIthatbloodycold · 19/06/2017 10:51

I'm still a bit confuse about what's going on but the car bit was really, really scary

Fantasticmissfoxy · 19/06/2017 10:54

Piffpaff this kind of spoiled it for me to! Was trying to focus on the plot line and then ended up getting confused 'what the hell are they doing away over there?!' Will try to focus harder on the next episode and just let it go.....

Magicpaintbrush · 19/06/2017 13:15

Hating the music on this programme - tense tv drama synthesised glockenspiel type tones throughout. Sounds like they re-used the soundtrack to another tv crime drama from 10 years ago, it sounds really dated.

That is all. Grin

NotCitrus · 19/06/2017 14:17

Argh! Settled down to watch last night, and bloody Tivo box couldn't be bothered to record it and just says "watch on the ITV app". Which would be fine except there are no subtitles!

Even checked with different programmes to check they were on, and it's just yet another streaming provider that can't be bothered to subtitle streamed output and isn't yet in breach of the law.

Gave up after one minute. :(

I thought it was the Wee Free police doc at first but it's probably someone trying to frame him.

Can someone explain the boy with locked-in syndrome to me? His eyes opened when his brother was in the room, but then the mum put something into his drip bag with a syringe. Is she drugging him?

Cagliostro · 19/06/2017 21:32

Yes I assume she is keeping him like that :( it does beg the question whether his brother has conveniently never seen him wake up and she has always been there to 'deal with it'.

Totally agree on Broadchurch link, even the brooding titles with the water etc. I am also finding it tricky to follow so many characters, but I manage it after a few episodes usually.

I'm watching on itv.com with subtitles - I use subtitles with everything now as I miss stuff otherwise!

I'm going to watch Fearless next, anyone watching that? It's another itv one.

Optimist1 · 19/06/2017 22:34

Lively discussion on Fearless here , Cagliostro !

AgentProvocateur · 19/06/2017 22:41

Thanks, cagliostro. I'll take a look at Fearless too.

Magicpaintbrush · 20/06/2017 09:54

My hunch is that rookie cop and serial killer expert will have a brief 'thing' and he will turn out to be the killer. Although as there is much info still unknown I reserve the right to change my mind at a later date Grin

Or.....Maybe it's the daughter and she is in on it with one of her friends (driving the scary truck)..... she would have to have knowledge of how to pull bits of brain out of people's noses though....so maybe not....

Think it's one of the male young 'un's. Doubt it's gorgeous hubby - too much like the first series of Broadchurch.
