A sudden flurry of posts following Cal's death has brought us to the end of the last thread. So let's continue as we were - there's so many unanswered questions. Have we seen the last of Gem as she heads back to incarceration? How will Charlie and Duffy cope with Robyn and the baby? Who is next in line to be stabbed? Will the illegal strike continue now that Cal isn't there to lead it? And most of all, will Ethan be reunited with his specs?

Also presumably Mas seeing them kissing will become an issue if Eddie claims it was consensual.

Did anyone notice that the Nail Bar owner had the shard of glass in her stomach and was wearing her work uniform when it happened. Yet in hospital they had the hospital gown in her and the shard was sticking through that?! Normally don't notice continuity errors but that annoyed me!
Agree with Sam being annoying. Jacob is too though so they go perfectly together. Between them they wouldn't be able say a sentance properly.

I think that Eddie will get awarded the Trauma scholarship thing, and then the full story of him and Alesha will come out (and I think it will turn out he raped her), and he will lose the scholarship to Bea.

I assumed it must be rape, but it's interesting that in the bit at the end about where people can go for support, they're referring to issues around sexual violence rather than the usual rape helplines. I also suspect it may not be cut and dried, because they're depicting Eddie as being a good guy in other contexts, e.g. getting the young Vietnamese girl to open up. Usually when they want to show someone as nasty they're pretty black and white about it.

Robyn looked at Eddie when he grabbed the young girls wrist in the last episode- she could be called as a witness against Eddie in a future episode?

I’ve just caught yo with Saturdays episode and I’m confused where they’re going with the Alicia and Eddie story.

Eddie genuinely doesn’t seem to think he’s done anything wrong but Alicia’s fear of him is quite upsetting to watch - she acts out the role really well.

I don’t know what to think.

The fact Alicia said, “I didn’t like it” perhaps means that something specific happened during them having sex that she didn’t like but felt pressured in to it? Or he goaded/coaxed her into it and didn’t take her seriously when she asked him to stop?

I’m just wondering if they’re going down the line of consent can be withdrawn at any point and that just because a woman is having sex with you that doesn’t mean if she says no, or stop, that you can just ignore her because the sex was initially consensual.

It would otobwbky be good to do that kind of storyline as opposed to the sex being non-consensual for the start and a standard rape taking place (for want of a better word).

It might explain too why Eddie genuinely doesn’t think he’s done anything wrong? I imagine if he’d held her down against her will from the start and then raped her that he wouldn’t be acting like he is?

Or maybe he did rape her from the start but he genuinely doesn’t think that’s what happened? I don’t know?

I guess we’ll find out in the coming weeks though. However the story develops I truly hope it’s Ethan she opens up to because I love them as a couple.

Another one here who can’t stand Sam. I don’t remember her being this annoying when she was a doctor?

I'm only just catching up on the last two episodes. I think it's a rape story but where she was seen as interested but at some point she either didn't want to continue or didnt want to do a particular sex act but he 'couldn't stop'. He probably genuinely thinks nothing of it.

I am reserving judgement at this stage. Eddie might be feigning innocence or he might truly think he's done nothing wrong.

Well whichever way Eddie sees the situation I think that this storyline will be about how it's his take on it that's seen as the truth and hers as a lie. Such as in the vast majority of rape cases.
