A sudden flurry of posts following Cal's death has brought us to the end of the last thread. So let's continue as we were - there's so many unanswered questions. Have we seen the last of Gem as she heads back to incarceration? How will Charlie and Duffy cope with Robyn and the baby? Who is next in line to be stabbed? Will the illegal strike continue now that Cal isn't there to lead it? And most of all, will Ethan be reunited with his specs?

The bit that made me & DH well up what when Glenn had the big seizure, as our son had once recently too.

GnotherGnu · 01/04/2018 00:35

I'm normally a crier but couldn't cry at this one. I think I was too annoyed that we apparently aren't getting rid of Robyn.

Quite liked Charlie's reference to Megan, though.

BakedBeans47 · 01/04/2018 00:37

I found it a hard watch. Reminded me of when DMIL died, even though it was years ago x

Blit · 01/04/2018 10:24

I can't stand Glenn or Robin but still had a snivel, and I'm well 'ard.

Did laugh at the whole cast camping out though, wouldn't want them looking after me next day.

And how lucky that there wasn't the usual crowded waiting area, with trollies piling up.

DH was moaning that they hadn't breathalysed her.

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 01/04/2018 11:21

That's a very good point Blit especially given they had obviously just got married!! Even someone mentioning routine breath test done at scene was clear could have covered it!!

SoupDragon · 01/04/2018 11:28

I laughed at the camping out colleagues. What are the next shift meant to do with them all cluttering up the staff room?

Frith1975 · 01/04/2018 11:40

The camping out colleagues was so silly. What if Glenn had hung on for 3 weeks?!

Dylan didn’t really seem to talk to Glenn much, considering he’d helped him when he lived in the bedsit/contacted Zsa Zsa/facilitated the surgery etc.

Still a sad episode.

GnotherGnu · 01/04/2018 11:41

There was zero sign of the next shift even being in the department.

I noticed 'Connie' directed last night's episode. I hope she comes back soon to bring back some much-needed discipline. Ridiculous how Sam barged into Dylan's office, demanding to know what was going on; Bea thinking she knew better than him with the chest pain lady and everyone gossiping about him in reception... They should have all been reprimanded. Ethan's proved to be a waste of space and shows no leadership skills whatsoever.

Place marking for after I've watched Saturdays episode...

morningtoncrescent62 · 01/04/2018 17:56

I'm usually a crier in the sad bits, but I'm afraid this week left me dry-eyed.

Were Jacob and Alicia on call in the next room or something, to be there immediately the monitor showed Glen's heart had stopped? I did actually feel a bit of pity for Robyn in that moment, wanting to share the final moment and goodbye with him, but being interrupted by sad-faced awkward colleagues at the most important moment.

And why on earth were the rest of the staff camping out? What was the logic? To be there for Robyn? To console each other when Glen went even though none of them seemed particularly to like him until a week ago? I was imagining the other shift going on while they waited in the staff room, and then them having to go back on shift after a night of prowling about. I don't think the standard of care the next day will be much to write home about!

Yep, I also think the nose bleed is the start of something. I even googled 'what diseases cause nose bleeds'. My bet is leukaemia.

What happened to Charlie's granddaughter?

crisscrosscranky · 01/04/2018 19:12

So, there's another porter vacancy...

HettySunshine · 01/04/2018 20:08

Perhaps Max will come back for the funeral 🤞🙏🏼

Handbaghag · 01/04/2018 20:35

Blood from the nose or ears can be a major brain injury. Let's wait and see...

TheDrsDocMartens · 02/04/2018 16:36

I thought she’d die on the bed and then he’d die and they’d only realise when she didn’t wake up.

JigglyTuff · 02/04/2018 19:03

I did not/do not care about Robyn and Glynn. I didn't cry although I might have the first time he died. Twice is too much!

Musicaltheatremum · 02/04/2018 19:13

And such a bad portrayal of brain tumours. Ridiculous in fact. My husband died of one.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/04/2018 20:11

Hmmmmmjust watched and read thread

Could they not let them /someone have some happiness???

Dying on wedding day

CHARLOTTE was a good baby :)

frazzled3ds · 07/04/2018 22:29

Only in Casualty does it go from major storyline involving regular characters one week to barely a mention the next! Meanwhile everything else seemed rather surreal....
