A sudden flurry of posts following Cal's death has brought us to the end of the last thread. So let's continue as we were - there's so many unanswered questions. Have we seen the last of Gem as she heads back to incarceration? How will Charlie and Duffy cope with Robyn and the baby? Who is next in line to be stabbed? Will the illegal strike continue now that Cal isn't there to lead it? And most of all, will Ethan be reunited with his specs?

I think they're talking about Rash not Eddie

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 01/06/2018 08:22

A couple of posters commented on Eddie being weird. I was replying to them

Hogtini · 01/06/2018 08:58

*I meant Rash not Mas

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/06/2018 19:50

Silly aleshia going off with new boy !!
Did Connie look at a preg scan or did I imagine that

purpleme12 · 01/06/2018 20:22

I thought that too Blondes! Didn't know if I'd got that wrong or what as there was nothing preceding that and no one on here has said it either!

QueenofmyPrinces · 01/06/2018 23:41

I thought they were ultrasound images of her heart - I thought she was actually scanning herself in the scene?

Maybe I did imagine that Grin

HettySunshine · 02/06/2018 21:09

I'm about 20 minutes behind due to a baby wake up but I'm just screaming at Alisha to tell someone! Why does no one on tv ever just tell someone?!

morningtoncrescent62 · 02/06/2018 21:33

And I'm wondering whether the handsome new F1 will turn out to be a wicked horrible baddie and Alesha will get her come-uppance.

I didn't mean it in the way it seems to be turning out. And I was doing the same as HettySunshine - I was sure Alesha would tell someone before the shift was out, or Duffy would come and nurse her after she collapsed and find out in her wise, monumentally irritating all-knowing way.

The thing with the hill collapsing on the bus seemed entirely gratuitous, no? It wasn't like there were subsequent near-death scenes complete with high drama and last-second rescues, just one minute they were buried alive and the next they were in the ambulance speeding towards ED. So what did it add to the storyline? Nothing that I could see.

Anyone else irritated by the whole Blake/Jacob son/father thing going on? It just seems entirely far-fetched that a 'boy' in his late teens (though he looks nearer 30 than 20) would suddenly accept a new father into his life so completely.

But apart from that, good episode. Wink But still no Dervla.

Yes, I thought Connie was doing a pregnancy scan too!

Yes so frustrating about Alicia. God knows when it will come out now

frazzled3ds · 02/06/2018 21:47

I'm possibly being a bit dense here (been a long day) but am I right in assuming that Alicia's been raped?

Dylan's beard was looking very well kept tonight I thought, quite bushy!

Optimist1 · 02/06/2018 21:48

Could someone tell me what Eddie did to traumatise Alicia? I might not have been paying full attention last week (or this week), but as far as I remember she was a bit tipsy when they agreed to go home together from the pub, then this episode she woke up having a sort of panic attack.

purpleme12 · 02/06/2018 21:54

I'm pretty sure they're trying to say he raped her

MakeItStopNeville · 02/06/2018 22:01

I'm completely confused by the Alicia thing. Is it that she was too drunk to give consent? Because if so, they didn't do a very good job of showing that.

purpleme12 · 02/06/2018 22:04

That's not what I take from it.
We don't know what happened really he could have just got nasty as soon as they were away from everyone. The only thing we know is that she didn't want it.

HettySunshine · 02/06/2018 22:09

I thought perhaps he had had sex with her and been too rough or she had said no to something and he'd done it anyway.

I assume it's going to be a storyline to do specifically with consent - especially as it's such a hot topic at the moment (as it always should be).

I'm guessing there'll be little chance of a conviction.

MissEliza · 03/06/2018 09:09

Why didn't Alicia just tell Ethan?! Also did anything actually happen between him and Leanne?

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 03/06/2018 11:03

Well clearly Eddie doesn't feel he's done anything wrong...Would have thought Ethan would have picked up on her distress.

I think something more may have happened between Ethan and Leanne too. Wasn't there a scene of them enjoying a bottle of wine together and sharing a kiss...Suspect this relationship is going to come back to bite him the butt at some stage soon...

Yes, Connie was defo doing an ultrasound of her heart; judging by her comment to the goldfish she diagnosed herself as being cured/recovered.

Violetroselily · 03/06/2018 11:15

The article I saw the their day said Alicia releases she didn’t consent and the story unfolds over the next 6 weeks

morningtoncrescent62 · 03/06/2018 18:02

Well clearly Eddie doesn't feel he's done anything wrong...Would have thought Ethan would have picked up on her distress.

On Eddie, I wonder if he is going to turn out to be psychopathically evil - I hope not, because I think it would have more impact re consent if he turns out to be not a monster or mentally ill, but a complete shit who has no respect for women.

I think we're getting a picture of Ethan as being very self-centred. He did pick up on something being wrong with Alicia but he thought it was about what he'd said to her - near the beginning of the episode she had to tell him it wasn't all about him. Towards the end, though, I think we see a wounded male ego, as he thinks she's got together with Eddie, and a kind of red mist descends and he thinks about his own hurt rather than Alicia's distress. He's rather emotionally stunted, I think, and doesn't really process his own emotions or de-centre from them. Having said that, I think Alicia was awful to him over the blog, and I was surprised he would consider being friends with her again.

I don't think anything's happened between Ethan and Leigh-Anne, but I think she's now going to leech onto him and there will be a storyline about him being vulnerable to being done for misconduct which may or may not go anywhere given that Holby doesn't seem to have a functioning HR department. There's also the danger that he'll be found out by the Ellisons who might be less than happy about the prospect of him raising Scott's son.

Is there something up with Bea's left eye? It never seems to be fully open - I wonder whether the actor has had Bell's palsy or something.

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 04/06/2018 21:39

Apologies if this has been said but do we think they are going down the Munchausens (sp) by proxy storyline with Leigh-Anne?

purpleme12 · 04/06/2018 21:44

I think it's a bit soon to say that. I think she was doing it this week cos she was anxious and she couldn't let go of Ethan either

HettySunshine · 05/06/2018 08:34

I think she's going to go full on obsessed and he's going to have to tell Connie/ Charlie and then she'll find out about Scott and it'll all kick off. Nothing goes well for Ethan.

spiderlight · 05/06/2018 09:35

Yep, it's going to blow up in his face in spectacular fashion. I did wonder about Munchausens-by-proxy too.

Frombothsidesnow · 06/06/2018 11:17

Was the ramping up of the bus peril a device for Ethan to realise how much he cared about Alicia? His face when the boyfriend mentioned that people were trapped.
