A sudden flurry of posts following Cal's death has brought us to the end of the last thread. So let's continue as we were - there's so many unanswered questions. Have we seen the last of Gem as she heads back to incarceration? How will Charlie and Duffy cope with Robyn and the baby? Who is next in line to be stabbed? Will the illegal strike continue now that Cal isn't there to lead it? And most of all, will Ethan be reunited with his specs?

I thought it looked like they were going to possibly get closer, have relationship? But if that happened then one day his secret would get revealed and that will not end well...

So I hope they don't do this

What were the odds of Ethan saving the baby of the bloke he killed

So how long do we reckon till Scott's mum hears about the baby and bumps into Ethan when she comes to visit Leigh-Anne...

I felt really bad for Bea :-(

I'm so relieved Ethan has quit as clinical lead (can you just quit on the day if you're in charge of an entire department?!). Maybe this means:

a. Connie is in her way back; or
b. Hanson (from Holby) will have a crack at the position - love him!
c. Ethan will start being likeable again
d. Every episode won't involve a catastrophic error by an F1 that means Ethan has to get intense again

There's a lot of bea's story still to tell I think. Although it wouldn't be the first time Casualty has introduced an interesting character and then whipped them away again.

I think I missed a bit of the episode, was it ever explained what Bea's big secret or background was?

Ah, but this is Holbyshire where contracts of employment don't appear to exist. You can give in your notice at 4pm and be gone by 5, and you can chop and change roles as much as you like. Receptionist to nurse, anyone?

I'd love to have a go at getting in a taxi and just commanding the driver to drive. Anywhere, as far as possible. Interesting that the driver didn't seek any further direction. Still, they won't get far, there's bound to be a crash within the hospital catchment area.

I hate the fact that we know Ethan is heading inevitably towards a massive car crash (figuratively, not literally) when the truth dawns on Scott's ex (sorry, forgotten her name). I quite like him as a character, but he's doing something so obviously massively risky and we just have to watch it play out. It would be great if the light would dawn and he'd just decide to step back and have nothing more to do with her, but the SWs are never likely to be brave enough to to lose their carefully planned storyline.

The Ethan/Scott's ex storyline reminds me of the one in Corrie years ago when Tony killed Liam O'Connor and ended up getting involved with Maria (Liam's wife). That ended well. I think the factory went up on fire or something.

Personally I find the storyline hard to believe. The Ellis storylines involving the death of the father and Ethan being blamed for it (by the family) followed by the whole ‘who killed
cal’ storyline that the entire family were involved in make it seem very unlikely that Leanne wouldn’t have heard the name Ethan Hardy being throw around, let alone not know who he is. It’s a bit lazy script writing I think.

I’m sad to see Ethan has resigned from post because I think his Big Bodd persona is very, very sexy. I’m going to miss seeing him parade around in tight trousers and his waistcoats!! Yummy!!

I hate that Dr Duval in Holby and I hated him in Casualty. He’s such an unlikeable character!!

Just came on to say I love Connie's new hair do! Amanda Mealing is the same age as me, wish I looked half as good.

Connie does seem to have come back with all guns blazing although I'm not sure about the obsession with the trauma theatre.....

The Ethan story line seems to be increasingly bizarre, and likely to end up in some kind of train wreck with massive fallout.

Kind of liked yesterday's - think it was that slight hint at Causalty of old: the camera setting on the axe in the father/daughter story build up as you knew it'd be involved in the disaster.

Oh I had similar thought!! Either her accidentlu axing him (as you do) or him her, or some stranger picking it up and attacking both of them.

I feel like Ethan's end will be coming soon. He's probably breaking a few rules by getting so involved with Leigh-anne. Though I must admit I am rooting for them

Another one here who thinks the leigh-Anne and Ethan situation is quite sweet!!

I didn’t like Connie in last nights episode - hate the hair, hate the black clothes....and she seemed even bitchier than normal. I really like her character normally so I hope last night was just a blip.

I find Leanne annoying (I have from the start) - delighted Connie is back though! Will it be on next week despite Euro vision ?
