A sudden flurry of posts following Cal's death has brought us to the end of the last thread. So let's continue as we were - there's so many unanswered questions. Have we seen the last of Gem as she heads back to incarceration? How will Charlie and Duffy cope with Robyn and the baby? Who is next in line to be stabbed? Will the illegal strike continue now that Cal isn't there to lead it? And most of all, will Ethan be reunited with his specs?

I've always found Connie quite seriously annoying, I'm quite miffed that they got my hopes up about her being written out only to have her return.

Mind you, it must be a healthy life being clinical lead in Holby A&E, that's at least two of them come back from the very brink of death so far, isn't it?

Good to get a bit more of the backstory on Bea (Britney? Not a name that suits her really!) Connie was generally horrible - I know she can be pretty hard but still .... liked Dylan's contribution at the end :)

Watching them amputate that leg with a pair of huge shears made me cringe Confused

I liked how Connie looked last night - loving the dark hair.

I wonder where the Ethan storyline is going - it seems to have suddenly tapered off.

What was the name of the doctor was briefly seeing Ian the paramedic and left to do some research abroad? I liked her character and kind of wish they’d write her back in.

Best episode in years!!

I was amused by the reference to HR, and someone (I can't remember - Connie?) telling Bea she had to work out her notice. Since when did anyone have to give notice at the Holby ED? Have the scriptwriters been reading these threads? Grin

I quite like Bea, and I enjoyed getting the backstory we've been waiting for. I thought the brother and sister and the amputated foot were classic 'old' Casualty, patients at the centre of the drama. And, hooray, no Robyn, no Duffy, hardly any Charlie. All I needed was a sighting of Dervla and my evening would have been complete.

The episodes on Drama and UKTV Play lately have been two of my favourite two-parters - the big ED fire (Ruth & Jay's departure), and the chemical incident in the suburbs with Sam being the hero, Tom's first episode.

I love Sam, I'm glad she came back though wish she was still a doctor and wish Tom had made a return with her!

Script writers let me down tonight. I thought Ethan would come back for Alisha and see her snogging the other guy (too new for me to have bothered to learn his name Grin). Really not liking the Ethan and Leigh-Anne story line

Alesha doesn't waste much time! At the beginning of the episode, she and Ethan are barely speaking - by the end she is suggesting they bin the others after one drink in favour of a cosy evening together at her house! Next thing she's copping off with the handsome new doctor Grin

Yes! Just watched it this morning, had a moment of thinking she looked familiar, then remembered.

This week's episode makes two in a row that I've enjoyed. I like the new paramedic manager - Jan? And I'm wondering whether the handsome new F1 will turn out to be a wicked horrible baddie and Alesha will get her come-uppance.

But still no Dervla. I hope she's OK.

It was a good episode, morningtoncrescent, although Connie didn't face the fact that she'd made a huge mistake in jumping to a completely wrong conclusion about Ray and Maggie. If any of her staff had done that she'd have been down on them like a ton of bricks!

I really liked this episode too.

Why was Connie scanning her heart towards the end of the episode though? Is it just something she does to make the sure the tumour hasn’t come back?

I liked Ethan and Alisha as a couple so I hope they find their way back to each other somehow.

I didnt think he looked bothered as such...

I thought it was more of a “surprise, surprise,” look - I.e he highly expected that Eddie and Alisha would end up snogging by the end of the night and so wasn’t particularly shocked when he saw it.

I do get the impression though that there’s something sinister to Eddie’s character and yes, maybe Mas does know something.

What happened to his love story with Gem anyway? That seems to have faded away??

I did wonder if it was one of those looks but not sure how much he knows about Alicia's past? Definitely seems to be a mystery to Eddie either way though.
Oh yeah completely forgot about Gem?! Let's hope the scriptwriters have forgotten like I had...
