A sudden flurry of posts following Cal's death has brought us to the end of the last thread. So let's continue as we were - there's so many unanswered questions. Have we seen the last of Gem as she heads back to incarceration? How will Charlie and Duffy cope with Robyn and the baby? Who is next in line to be stabbed? Will the illegal strike continue now that Cal isn't there to lead it? And most of all, will Ethan be reunited with his specs?

I thought they weren't striking but working to rule. The agency dr was cancelled and they refused to cover. Lily then agreed to cover.

Sorry I don't have any stats for you but I do have a brother and a cousin who are both paramedics, in different parts of the country

Not all areas offer student paramedic roles -and not consistently so the might only run every other year or every third year
My cousin went to uni at 19 and trained on the degree pathway
My brother did his degree retrospectively as he trained when you had to do your time on patient transport and work your way up -he's now got a masters

yes to leaving glasses on table. No short sighted person would do this. Perhaps that's why he was hugging his head at the end, he had to get in close to make sure it was Cal.

Oh and what about Lily's perfect dewy make up and eyeliner staying intact after being run over.

I quite like Ian and Lily although I can already see the whole 'she's embarrassed because he's not a consultant' already.
And how come Jez was snogging the gay son 5 mins after meeting him. Surely that's not allowed?

Does Lily know it was Gem that ran her over? Was that the implication when she said she had nothing to be sorry about?

I didn't really understand why Lily would say Gem had nothing to be sorry for. She had everything to be sorry for! The pictures of Alisha, getting drunk, taking a car and driving it very recklessly, running someone over and leaving them in a heap while she went off to try and lie her way out of it. She only came clean about the airbag when Dylan scared her into it by saying she might go blind and even then she said she'd hit a bollard. All that's on top of being a stroppy, ungrateful, selfish, lazy, sneaky little liar!

Good riddance I say, although she's bound to be back pretty soon having miraculously become super-intelligent and passed her GCSEs in record time thanks to Lily's excellent 'teaching'.

I assumed Lilly was high on pain killers & didn't really know what she was saying. It's the only explanation that makes any sense!

Lily was probably thinking there'd be no getting jiggy with sexy Iain if she reported Gem to the police.

No doubt Gem will be back in 3 weeks with a medical degree.

Unless Lily didn't know that it was Gem that had knocked her down and thought she was apologising for flunking the test grasps at straws

Perhaps Lily has forgotten the immediate lead-up to the accident? That often happens in Casualty.

The actor who plays Charlie has dystonia which is why he always stands with his head in the same fixed position, that's probably why he doesn't seem as though he is looking at people.
