snozzlemaid · 28/09/2016 17:42

I think we just feel it's mentioned a little too much balls
Nell Hudson has posted this on twitter today from a script read through for Ep 3 & 4.
Now there's a storyline I won't enjoy watching!

Been confirmed season 3 showing in April 2017. Too far away (sob)

gamerwidow · 28/09/2016 19:10

Poor loaghaire I feel quite sorry for her. We'd all marry Jamie if we could Grin

Drywhitethanks · 28/09/2016 21:43

She's a psycho thoughGrin

Book Laoghaire less so, though!

Drywhitethanks · 29/09/2016 18:19

Yes, I was just being provocative . But, how could she resist J? She did have a hard time before hand though, but did quite well out of J though.

You beat me to it.
Very pleasing on the eye. I can see him as Fergus.

Drywhitethanks · 29/09/2016 19:11

Parfait !!!

gamerwidow · 29/09/2016 19:14

I think it's a good fit. With his hair a bit longer and curlier he will be perfect .

Drywhitethanks · 29/09/2016 19:15

it's going to be incredible! love the writers, they're just brilliant at knowing what the audience wants apart from lack of intimacy in S2 .... Need to see J kill BJR..........

Drywhitethanks · 29/09/2016 19:16

Oh brilliant he's French! Just googled him, looks really great and a good match for young Fergus .

Unrelated but has anyone read His Bloody Project? It's set in the Highlands in the 1800s and shortlisted for this years Booker. I'm really enjoying it so far. It's worth a read it's a very interesting look at the life of tenants on a highland estate.

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 01/10/2016 13:36

Started series 2 last night on the big telly, and had forgotten that she's back in the 1940's at the start! Am taking them slowly, especially if I have to wait until April for more.

So if we have Loughaire in episodes 3&4 of series 3, and Culloden is the first, that's really not leaving us much for Boston (no loss there - but I bet there's loads of Frank being a dick so we dislike him more), or the prison or the cave, unless they do that as flashbacks later...

For a complete change I watched both series of 'Mozart in the Jungle' this week... which I found entertaining and easy.

Laoghaire Mackenzie Fraser

They've spelled thatwouldbeanecumenicalmattermackenziefraser wrong there...

Absolutely do not get a life Grin
I really liked the Lord John books read them in order though the short stories are also very good. Reading order of the LJG books and short stories can be found here www.dianagabaldon.com/books/chronology-of-the-outlander-series/
Has anyone seen the news re: Marsali casting she looks very much like loaghaire but very young, much younger than the Fergus casting which I think will make watching their relationship a bit uncomfortable...

Lessstressedhemum · 04/10/2016 21:16

She's lovely, just like she should be but a wee hait older. Marsali is 15 when she marries Fergus, who is 30.

LJ books are quite good, fill in a lot of back story.

Drywhitethanks · 07/10/2016 12:27

Have started the first LJ book .

My views overall of Outlander books.....great romps with a lot of unnecessary medical stomach churning waffle, but I loved them and can't wait to see S3.
I take back what I said about female characters, loved Rachel Hunter.

Like the Marsali actress, she's perfect and in early 20s irl ...

Think the show writers/casters are brilliant at cutting out rubbish, enhancing the best book bits and casting.

Really love Lord John.
