Right Less we need to get you on the case. Here's some pics from twitter and I'm sure I saw something else yesterday mentioning filming in Edinburgh. mobile.twitter.com/bordersjourneys/status/820974518751657984
I'll see what else I can find.

snozzlemaid · 17/01/2017 12:01

Sorry just noticed its's Hud who's near Edinburgh. Hope you get a chance to see something.

snozzlemaid · 17/01/2017 13:35

What a day to have an impromptu day at home. Lots of pictures from filming on twitter.
So glad they haven't done really bad makeup to age Jamie. I was worried it might look a bit false.

hudyerwheesht · 17/01/2017 14:26

Noooooo, this is what I was afraid of - I didn't have enough chance to organise a trip up there

Lessstressedhemum · 17/01/2017 17:48

Clearly, even 20 years older Jamie is still a raging hottest!

Lessstressedhemum · 17/01/2017 17:49

Hottie, clearly.

snozzlemaid · 17/01/2017 18:33

Oh no hud. So awful when you're close but can't get there.

JuneFromBethesda · 17/01/2017 20:53

Lassies, may I join you? I have been following your threads as I caught up with and fell head over heels for Outlander.

I came late to Poldark a few months ago, got completely obsessed, finally had watched and re-watched the episodes so often I had to stop, and needed something to fill the gap ... hello Outlander.

Now of course I am similarly obsessed with Outlander, in fact it's probably worse Blush I have a few episodes left to watch of Season 2 and have STOPPED as I'm not sure I can bear a) the ending and b) having to wait for months before there's anything new to watch.

I'm mostly rewatching my favourite bits of Season 1 overandoverandoverandoverandover again. And reading Outlander threads on Mumsnet Grin Thank you for fuelling my obsession Flowers

Anyway, I thought you might enjoy this - sorry it's the DM but for the sake of a few more photos of the lovely SH, I thought it was worth it Wink

snozzlemaid · 17/01/2017 21:08

Hello June. Always love to hear other people discovering Outlander (and Poldark).
You'll have to steal yourself to watch the end of season 2. The last episode is very painful to watch in places but a really great watch.
Love all the filming pics from today. Thanks for sharing some more. They have eased the pain of Droughtlander somewhat.
Have you read any of the books June? I read them all last year and am now working my way through the Lord John Grey books to keep me going.

JuneFromBethesda · 17/01/2017 21:23

Hello snozzle Smile I just ordered the first book actually, although am halfway through Demelza (Poldark Bk 2) so should really finish that before rifling through Outlander looking for the steamy bits starting on Outlander.

Now I'm really worried about watching the end of Season 2 - it took me several attempts to manage the Wentworth Prison episodes! But I'll get there. I'm happy to be in a holding pattern at the moment Grin

snozzlemaid · 18/01/2017 03:56

Article here says they will be filming at Dunure Castle on 30th Jan, if anyone is close by.

Lessstressedhemum · 18/01/2017 11:29

That's about 20 miles away from me! Sadly, I don't drive and it's a bit of a trek on public transport, so likely no stalking for me Sad

TempusFuckit · 20/01/2017 01:05

oh thank goodness I have found you! Smart UK women discussing my slightly embarrassing obsession in a critical way - such a relief after dipping into the crazy Facebook pages ...

Agree totally with what people have said about series being better and books needing a good editor. I think I'm the only one who quite enjoys the medical invention stuff though?

Love the books, love the series even more.

JuneFromBethesda · 20/01/2017 16:02

Hello Tempus, slightly embarrassing obsessives all welcome here Grin

I am trying so hard not to fall down the Outlander megafan rabbit-hole, then Youtube goes and helpfully suggests this , so of course I had to watch it*. They're so lovely together, sigh, they just seem like such nice people and genuine good friends.

  • doesn't help at all that I work from home so have no-one to save me from myself, waaaahhh
snozzlemaid · 20/01/2017 17:09

Hi Tempus. Love your description 'smart uk women'. That's us.
We're obsessed and love to discuss 'highbrow' topics such as Jamie's knees. But we do try to keep ourselves from overstepping into 'crazy lady of a certain age who will attend outlander events dresses as a character' territory.
I watched that Q&A this morning June. I agree, both lovely people who are such good friends.
Have loved seeing all the filming pics from Edinburgh on twitter and instagram this week.
Can't wait to see new episodes. So looking forward to season 3.

Lessstressedhemum · 29/01/2017 15:40

DD was watching some ridiculous teenage girl programme on Netflix yesterday called Riverside. One of the male protagonists has red hair and is the love interest. I nearly wet myself with laughter when the female lead called him "Teen Outlander!"

Sam and his hotness have even infiltrated teen TV Grin

TempusFuckit · 30/01/2017 14:15

It looks like they've cast Mr Willoughby, and his telly storyline is going to start in Edinburgh:

www.dailyrecord.co.uk/scotland-now/outlander-found-mr-willoughby-9698584#ICID=sharebar_twitter

I really, really hope they take a few ticks off his stereotype checklist . . .

TempusFuckit · 01/02/2017 13:58

This is worth listening to - Terry Dresbach talking about some of the costume Easter eggs she's going to put into the show - all about how 18C people recycled clothes, and how she's going to do the same:

outlandercastblog.blogspot.co.uk/2017/01/outlander-cast-chats-woutlander-costume.html

From about 40 minutes in

JuneFromBethesda · 02/02/2017 18:47

I wish they'd at least give us a vague idea when the new series will be ready to air. Will we get it at the same time as the Yanks?

Not that I'm desperate or anything gibbers

snozzlemaid · 02/02/2017 20:59

Some season 3 Jamie knees...
