Christmas is feeling like a minor interruption on the road to the season finale. I want it over with so we're closer to seeing just how sensible Carrie was when she went alone down a sarin-loaded train tunnel, and the total number of injuries Quinn can sustain in a single season. I predict he'll leave hospital and there will be some freak injury involving currywurst.

My Christmas present will be Homeland final episode on the 25th. But I'll keep Quinn about it till Sunday.

So glad for this thread. I was looking in threads I'm on and got a whiff of a spoiler. Only a whiff though so didn't look too much.

My present will be to get the family happily playing that Homeland board game I bought about 100 years ago. DS3 will not strop off in a fury, DS1 will not be unbearably smug because he's winning (he always wins a board game), I won't be too thick to understand the rules and all will be well. That's the plan, anyway.

I think we'll be left with a cliffhanger regarding Quinn's ultimate survival...

I'm confused as to what we are watching next. My brain hasn't yet accepted the end of this series of Homeland being nearly upon us.

Is it Deutschland 83 the week after?
Or someone said Bridges? What's that?

From what I've gleaned from Wiki, Cold War Stasi stuff and yes, in German so we'll need to pay attention to the subtitles and/or learn German. Fiderer will be OK.

Subtitles?! Bollocks. I normally sew or MN whilst watching tv and even the subtitled bits in Homeland were too much for my v rusty A-level German...

Not sure I'm up for Deutschland 83. No idea what it's about, we don't even have German TV any more as the satellite dish got knocked out by snow & the children hadn't watched it in years so I never bothered getting it repaired.

On Sunday I'll be in the UK and stuffing my face with sausage rolls & mince pies. Best SaulSnacks ever.

Thanks owl I don't fly till Saturday but I am going to eat my body weight in the bacon my mum orders from a farm. Also sausages, my children always ask why when we live in sausage land, so to speak, the ones we eat in England are so much better.
