Not even a hint of a whisper of a spoiler please - we're going with UK time, so Sunday night.

Christmas is feeling like a minor interruption on the road to the season finale. I want it over with so we're closer to seeing just how sensible Carrie was when she went alone down a sarin-loaded train tunnel, and the total number of injuries Quinn can sustain in a single season. I predict he'll leave hospital and there will be some freak injury involving currywurst.

Just grabbing a chair Smile

Finally we're done. DD was the terrorist mole and no-one had a clue. I think it has the potential to be a brilliant board game, now we finally know what the hell we're doing - you find yourself saying ridiculous things like "DH, can you deal out the Political Clout" and "None of these threats are guerilla dissidents - my assets are worthless". The "assets" are cards featuring mostly the most minor Brodie-era characters so a lot of time is spent wondering who they were, although at one point DS1 had to pick between Quinn and Saul as an asset. So yes - a good game. Exhausting, though.

Has your DD considered a career in the MNIA? (MN Intelligence Agency, btw)

Hassled · 26/12/2015 22:55

She'd be great in MNIA. She even has the swishy hair that all good moles need.

This is great!
I've just been debating what day it is with DH and we were both devastated that it's Sunday and we missed homeland to watch skyfall! Until I just realised that it's actually Saturday! Phew!
Does the effect that Christmas have on my brain stop me signing in at mn station? I hope not and that you'll all see it as a way for me to have a different perspective?!?!

Cocolepew · 27/12/2015 10:34
Lweji · 27/12/2015 11:12

She'd be great at confusing the enemy.
They'd never know for sure when or where.

Howaboutthisone · 27/12/2015 11:16

Ha! I'm really looking forward to tonight's episode now that it's actually Sunday!

TheSpottedZebra · 27/12/2015 11:30

Hello, Homelanders. I hope you all had a lovely Xmas.

I await tonight's episode with anticipation and a touch of sadness that it's over, as I do love it, quite a lot, and he's threads too.

I have no Homeland game, alas, but I am delighted to report that I have been sharpening my spy skills wih my 6 yo son over Xmas. He loved his spy kit. But I suspect I love it more.

He's quite a crap spy, though. He's particularly bad with his walkie talkies, into which he just yells. And runs about a lot, quite obtrusively, but very very happily. They seem to be the key to getting a 6 yo moving outside in the wet, on a day in which he could just sit at home eating chocolate.

So I nominate myself in charge of equipment and gadgetry in the MN Bureau.

PseudoBadger · 27/12/2015 11:31

Found you all!

Elendon · 27/12/2015 12:30

I have to say I thought last night was Sunday too! So nice to find there is, after all, an extra day in the week!

Can't wait for tonight. Have been reading this thread but too busy to post.

Lweji · 27/12/2015 13:21

Reporting from a spy tourist hotspot.

But I'd have to kill you all if I told where.
So far so good. No obvious terrorists, unless there's a pensioner liberation front somewhere. There's a boy dressed in black eating an ice cream and watching youtube that could be a double agent, or Quinn (maybe better Saul, for chances of survival) in making. Will have to keep a close eye on him.
Also about to have a suspicious free drink. Fingers crossed it's not cyanide.

Cocolepew · 27/12/2015 13:32

Zebra it sounds like your DS has been to the Carrie School Of Noisy Spying.
He's a natural.

I've never had so many chocolate based Saul Snacks.

Namechanger2015 · 27/12/2015 16:01

Argh I am gutted - I have an Xmas do to go to tonight with my lovely cousins. What makes it worse is that I organised it and picked the date! Before I knew it was Homeland finale day of course.

Luckily my body clock is all over the place from lie-ins and late nights I'll probably go out and still be able to watch it when I get back.

Excited!

Ness18 · 27/12/2015 17:06

Eagerly awaiting 9pm here too.
I have given explicit instructions that ALL new games consoles, DVDs etc must be off and put away by 8:45. There will be silence in the lounge and I will NOT be disturbed for that hour. Serious consequences await otherwise!
I have a tube of Pringles secreted by the sofa along with a bottle of rose in the fridge.
Can't wait! See you all on the flip side! EnjoyWink

Stuffofawesome · 27/12/2015 17:18

Trying to train my spy cat. Needs more work.

Lweji · 27/12/2015 18:05

That looks suspiciously like my cat. Maybe they are the same...
Or maybe cloned sleeper spies.

Must stop him approaching me when MNetting. there's nothing else worth spying on

Good wishes for tonight's viewers.

fidel1ne · 27/12/2015 18:29

Can I just recommend 'The man in the high castle' in advance to anyone who finds themselves in withdrawal later tonight?

It is an Amazon production, so sadly not terrestrial, but it is the best thing I've seen all year. Unfortunately I binge watched the whole series in 72 hours so it will be no good to me as a post-Homeland solution.

Treat that link with care - there are episode synopses further down.

Ledkr · 27/12/2015 19:09

I agree fidel I am waiting for dh to catch up with me to carry on watching it.
Fantastic.

Hassled · 27/12/2015 19:47

I've heard lots of good things re High Castle now - must give it a try. I have no real grasp of days of the week anymore either but had managed to retain the knowledge that Finale Day was the 27th.

OP posts:
fidel1ne · 27/12/2015 19:50

What IS it with slow-watching husbands Ledkr? DH is still on series 3 of Homeland. I'm going to have to evict him from the living room for an hour.

Roonerspism · 27/12/2015 20:03

Checking in.

The High Castle thing.... Is it on DVD?

Deutschland sounded great but I think the subtitles will put me off

fidel1ne · 27/12/2015 20:13

On Amazon Prime, online or by plug-in 'fire stick'.

Roonerspism · 27/12/2015 20:17

Fire stick?!??
