OP posts:

Definitely gonna have ti watch e1 again, to try to find monique.

BeyondTheTreelights · 27/11/2014 10:49

I dont see ollie coming home after 8 years in a sex trafficking ring as a positive ending Confused

Plus it was kind of implied that the boy in the video was dead, and molly was killed too. A think the death of the kids might be part of it (dont know if anyone else here read the paperwork from the Belgian paedophile ring linked in the establishment threads a while back? - in fact this whole series reminds me of that!!)

CrapBag · 27/11/2014 10:54

Journo has said he knows what happened to Ollie. He clearly hasn't told anyone.

werenotreallyhere · 27/11/2014 10:58

Journo is blagging, at the moment

rebelfor · 27/11/2014 11:10

I think the IMDB cast list is a little misleading, it has Baptiste's wife down as being in all 8 episodes and she wasn't in the last one.

SomethingFunny · 27/11/2014 11:37

... Unless Journo was involved Shock

Nancy66 · 27/11/2014 11:40

journo knows Tony killed Ian. It's obvious

SomethingFunny · 27/11/2014 11:44

CrapBag. I would be most disapointed if that was the ending. If it turns out that Ollie was snatched by some unnamed Romanian gang and killed. It would make the entire series pointless and frustrating.

It could well be, but I hope not.

funambulist · 27/11/2014 11:47

I think I remember the journalist saying to Emily (when she met him in the café and sent him off to spy on Tony) "I know what you did." Perhaps a reference to Emily helping Tony to cover up the murder of Ian.

I have also (sad case) been checking the ages of the actors playing Ian, Mary, Vincent and Monique to see if they are a plausible family.

Actor playing Ian is 60
Actor playing Mary is 68
Actor playing Vincent is 35
Actor playing Monique is 20

I was surprised at some of the ages. Some definitely look younger than their actual age and others older.

OttiliaVonBCup · 27/11/2014 11:48

It want be the Romanians, far too obvious besides the BBC won't that route.
It's not Ian.

It's not anything to do with this, that was the Little Lord Fauntleroy.

It's in the family.

OttiliaVonBCup · 27/11/2014 11:49

it won't be the Romanians

noddyholder · 27/11/2014 11:52

actor playing Monique is not 20 I met her at a party and she was about 35 ish

funambulist · 27/11/2014 11:55

Wikipedia says that mayors in French towns are also Judicial Police Officers with control of the municipal police. This might explain some of the confusion over Georges' role.

funambulist · 27/11/2014 11:58

noddyholder sorry, you are right, she's 30. I'm in bed and running a temperature and clearly it's sent my maths to pot.

Thanks for pointing it out as

Ian 60
Mary 68
Vincent 35
Monique 30

makes a plausible family, which helps my theory that Vincent and Monique are Mary's children.

Trunchbull · 27/11/2014 12:00

VB's date of birth is 21.12.1971 if that helps!

funambulist · 27/11/2014 12:02

Well Vincent looks very good for his age then!

werenotreallyhere · 27/11/2014 12:04

I think Vincent would have called Mary "mum" at some point

werenotreallyhere · 27/11/2014 12:04

......if she was his mum

EmilyGilmore · 27/11/2014 12:07

Of course Mary isn't Vincent's mother. He said "your husband" and didn't look on her fondly or warmly at all. Remember how much his mother meant to him when he was begging Ian not to hurt her? There was nothing between him and Mary.

reem1 · 27/11/2014 12:10

I see the whole Romanian cleaning company/ undercover drug traffickers very amusing. I mean it is not like some big warehouses are needed to store cleaning products (cocaine in washing powder boxes), long distance travels or large cash handled by cleaner/traffickers???

Although it's genius in the way - cleaning company removing evidence from crime scenes! Sounds like a market niche, they must have a great reputation for the blood stains removals.

OttiliaVonBCup · 27/11/2014 12:12

It's not anything to do with twins, that was the Little Lord Fauntleroy.
Can't type this morning.

Vincent is so not Mary's son.
Or daughter.

funambulist · 27/11/2014 12:19

Can't wait for the next episode and a new set of clues.

mewkins · 27/11/2014 12:38

I suspect that if it was the Romanian gang, then it was someone who we have already met that paid them to do so...

Did anyone think that the way James said 'mum' to woodentop when he was in his hospital bed was a bit odd. He may have been on really strong painkillers but it just seemed strange to me....

MargotLovedTom · 27/11/2014 12:58

CrapBag that is a good summary of what has happened so far - however there's got to be a good few twists and turns yet to come.

I just felt there was something significant about the way Vincent took down the picture of Molly and held it, when talking to Mary Garrett - as if inviting comparison between himself and Molly. Also, as an eagle eyed pp pointed out, on Vincent Bourg's police notes it showed him as the child of somebody Bourg and Mary Scott of Dartford.

dingit · 27/11/2014 12:58

Is someone going to make thread 2, I can't MISS anything Smile
