I just realised- the old grey haired bloke in the restaurant was the boy from Press Gang. I am old!

On a superficial note, TH looked excellent.

Davros · 28/04/2014 22:42

He's gay isn't he? Not that it means he didn't look good or I don't love him

JugglingFromHereToThere · 28/04/2014 22:46

Thanks for the heads up Overlooked - I really enjoyed that - a little more gentle and subdued than the previous episode? Just right I thought (though seemed a short episode, though I did miss the beginning so perhaps that explains it Smile)

PootlewasthebestFlump · 28/04/2014 22:50

Very much not gay.

Looking for love and wants to be a dad.

But also goes on holiday with best friend Ralph which always makes my eyebrows raise slightly.

But generally known to like the laydees do presumably it's a bromance not a romance.

PansBigChainring · 28/04/2014 22:52

Bongo was gay, Davros?

PansBigChainring · 28/04/2014 22:59

I know this could be heretical..but I thought it was a damp squib.

SpottieDottie · 28/04/2014 23:08

It looks like it is the last - for now :(

What a wet ending.

piscivorous · 28/04/2014 23:14

I'm just confused. I felt like I understood it until this week

Shallishanti · 28/04/2014 23:18

he said I will go but not yet....so is this like the bit leading up to Whitsun?

SpottieDottie · 28/04/2014 23:39

Maybe a Christmas special will turn up.

mummytime · 28/04/2014 23:47

I would be interested in a US version - wonder if it would be Episcopalian - different problems over there.

SpottieDottie · 29/04/2014 06:10

I think that is the plan.

jaynebxl · 29/04/2014 07:38

I'd hate an American version. I don't think they would reproduce it with the same subtleties and ambiance.

Davros · 29/04/2014 07:51

Yes, poor Bongo. Now he can't enjoy his new right to marriage.

mummytime · 29/04/2014 08:41

Well I hope it would be to Rev what Veep is to The Thick of It- and okay I love that they want to set it in Chicago. Although of course the questions are: black or white church, actually I'd like to see it in a church like the one my (catholic) friend worked - a large Baptist that did a lot of social work with Crack addict Mums and their children.

Davros · 29/04/2014 09:11

Seriously? They are going to do a USA version? Great for TH, being co-creator but hope they don't ruin it. Mind you, I don't generally watch US TV prigs so I probably won't know

Davros · 29/04/2014 09:12

Or progs

AntoinetteCosway · 29/04/2014 10:24

Just watched it. I cried Blush

ShesARumUn · 29/04/2014 13:59

Did anyone notice Katie's middle names (Sophie and Isobel) were those of the two little girls who played her? I thought that was a lovely touch

AntoinetteCosway · 29/04/2014 14:05

Aw! That's lovely. Sniff!

JugglingFromHereToThere · 29/04/2014 14:34

Oh, well spotted RumUn How nice Smile

edamsavestheday · 29/04/2014 15:01

That's sweet. Knew I'd heard those names somewhere before.

Davros · 29/04/2014 15:28

You've heard those names EVERYWHERE before! Has anyone read Alison Graham's column in the RT this week? I think she's almost completely missed the point of why the story has been as it is in the last two episodes

limitedperiodonly · 29/04/2014 15:36

davros I Googled. I couldn't find it but I did find this

I'd never heard of her but as I love incompetent reviews she might have found a new follower. Thanks.
