I really like their dresses, well made, last a long time. Have a look for the Seasalt store on eBay, Op. I pick up brand new items there for less than half price.

Motnight · 21/10/2026 07:37

Re sizing - for skirts and dresses generous!

BadSkiingMum · 21/10/2026 07:38

Quality is great.
But every second item seems to be such a dull colour!

OsfameronTanamoril · 21/10/2026 07:39

I like their jackets and coats. Not their prints.

I do this. And their 'current ' selection in the catalogue seems to be reduced quite quickly. Free postage too, generally.

muddyford · 21/10/2026 07:41

I size up the tops as the fabric can be quite clingy.

Their jackets are great, I agree.

OsfameronTanamoril · 21/10/2026 07:48

I also like their plain cord dresses.
One thing I do like is they have lots of natural fabrics.

Floisme · 21/10/2026 08:04

I think the quality is reasonable.
As previous posters have said, they use a lot of natural fabrics.
I quite like their knitwear - it's rarely 100% wool but the price reflects that. I size up because I prefer a loose fitting style.
Their linen shirts are pretty good. I find them fairly true to size.
I don't normally like their prints but I've recently acquired a skirt in an abstract print and, when I first saw it, I thought it was Toast. So that'll teach me. It was true to size.
I dislike their trousers and dresses.

MrsMoastyToasty · 21/10/2026 08:06

Pockets! A lot of their skirts and dresses have pockets.

FlossieKirkpatrick · 21/10/2026 08:21

Thank you! What are thoughts on the Sailor Shirt? Is it a slim or boxy fit?

The put the clothes measurements somewhere on the site and they tend to be right

Boxy, but true to size

I like their dresses, well made and usually natural fabrics but they are cut for those who are 5'5" - 5'6" so on me (5'8") the waists are too high.

Love their Janelle coats- have 3 now as well as other raincoats for dog walking. And their jumpers, really good quality and the fair isle ones and 80% merino ones wash well, the others- not so much.

LancashireButterPie · 21/10/2026 11:14

I told my DD I'd found a nice top in there and she said "oh no, you aren't old enough for that yet, Mum".
I'm retired.
It's put me off.

That's just being silly. If you like the top just buy it.

I hate the prejudice I read on here about certain brands of clothing and footwear. DD (26) has a Seasalt skirt. She doesn't hold preconceived ideas about some brands being only for old people because she is open minded.

I like the quality of Seasalt, but don't always like their colours or patterns. They currently have some beautiful knitwear in, but as most of it is hand wash only I shan't bother.

bilbodog · 21/10/2026 11:26

I like their tunics and wear them all the time but buy trousers mainly from m&s. Did buy some linen trousers from white stuff this year and they were lovely.

find seasalt sizes pretty consistent but returning and exchanging is very easy.

Hear hear. I make allowances for young people's prejudices as I believe the brain isn't fully developed until age 25. I have no patience whatsoever when it's a fully grown S&B poster.

i certainly don't like everything Seasalt do but they've surprised me (pleasantly) on several occasions.

SpiralSister · 21/10/2026 14:16

They do good quality natural fabrics at a reasonable price point, with sizing that is true to size or perhaps a bit generous. Given how rare this is on the high street, I own quite a bit of their stuff, although I swerve the dresses and prints. Excellent Breton tops and rainwear.

You could try a few things on Vinted, to see if they are your bag. Awash with Seasalt on there!

RedRiverShore6 · 21/10/2026 14:22

Good quality and wash well, I'm 5'10 and like that they do a lot of the coats in tall. The only trousers I find fit me are the Crackington ones in tall, I generally buy a new pair each year when there is 20% off which they sometimes have as I really like them. They are good for buying sale stuff and eBay outlet as the styles don't change much year on year.

MissyB1 · 21/10/2026 14:31

Just opened my latest Vinted buy, a Seasalt denim pinafore dress, good fit (true to size), £9:50 bargain! 👍

PinkPerpetue · 21/10/2026 14:31

Love their dresses. The knitwear is not great as it rubs and bobbles after just one wearing despite being pretty expensive. I’ll not buy them again

Fallulah · 21/10/2026 18:40

Good quality fabrics which make it a bit expensive, but there are often lucky dips and deals in store and it crops up
on Vinted a lot.

Sizing is generous. I can wear a 20 in the Breton type tops and I’m easily a 22 normally.

I like the plain trousers, tops, knitwear etc. The print dresses and tops aren’t quite for me.

That said, I once had a jumper that unravelled a bit from the neckline - sent them photos and they refunded no quibble. I fixed it = free jumper!
