Was that the dark denim a line?Rosewall I think it is. Fantastic skirt. DD coveted it.

Yes! It is amazing! I was very excited when it got cool enough to wear again!

Love their quality and use of natural materials. They wash well too. Love Seasalt, highly recommend!

Longtime Seasalt customer here too, I endorse what’s been said about fabrics, longevity and quality.
I can’t comment on their wool jumpers (can’t wear wool ) or nightwear ( never purchased) - but the remainder of my wardrobe is largely Seasalt.
Their rewards scheme is good and adds up quickly , you have a money-off voucher (usually £10) on your birthday , 10% off your first order and their customer service team is first class.
And no, I don’t work for them - but if I wasn’t enjoying my retirement so much , I would be very happy to !

Ilovelurchers · 22/10/2026 18:06

I have owned several of their tunic style dresses over the years. I buy them in charity shops if they are reasonably priced and in decent condition, and wear them for work (I am a teacher!)

To me they seem good quality, and the sizing is very generous!

Personally I wouldn't wear them other than for work, but that's just personal preference and my personal style - we all like different looks and that's completely fine!

Amusingly I'm wearing platform Docs with my Seasalt top. I wasn't aware I was straddling two different fashion identities.

And never the twain should meet!!!

Funny my DP LOATHES the dungarees. With a passion. Do any men like them? I think not.

Yet hes all over me when I wear a floral dress. All other outfits barely get a notice. lol.

Tom Good liked dungarees well enough when Barbara wore them in The Good Life.

I think plenty of men would have chased Barbara around that scrubbed pine table back then.😀

"My mum is 76 and we met for lunch few days ago. She rocked up in a full length bodycon green tartan dress, and brown cowboy boots. She looked amazing! It helps that she has an amazing figure."

@seanconneryseyebrow Your description of your mother's outfit immediately made me think of Stella Tennant posing with Deborah, Duchess of Devonshire (her grandmother).

My goodness both of those women had such pizzazz.

The Duchess was a woman who was never in fashion, always in style and if Stella wore it (whatever it was) you could be sure it would soon be in fashion.

I've just remembered they made one of my favourite T shirts. It has a small abstract design on the front but otherwise it's very plain and I was really surprised when I saw it was Seasalt. And yet I've never seen a dress there that I liked (to be fair I rarely wear dresses) and I find their trousers a really odd shape / cut (not sure which it is).

It really is a brand that's full of contradictions and surprises. If the high street were in better shape then I might decide it wasn't worth my time trawling through it for gems but as it is I take the things I like wherever I can find them.

Happyjoe · 22/10/2026 19:05

Mixed bag - jumpers too short for me but seem well made. Their coats can be excellent, but not the duffle as it attracts endless fluff. Tunics are nice, the winter ones nice and toasty.
Don't buy the cabin socks, they are very annoying.

And.. look on their eBay shop. It's often half price, even with things they have listed on their main website.

It's very Breton sailor style/shape - boxy tops/wide cropped trousers.

Yep 😁
Are we quits now?

Well if you describe what you are wearing now in detail top to toe and I get to tell you its not stylish or attractive, then yeah we are even stevens. But I wouldn't do that, because Im not a knob.

OP: Whats Seasalt like.
Me: I think its shit and frumpy - I dont like it.
You: Implodes (and doesnt wear Seasalt 😂).
Other Regina Georges: Pile on about how Im uncool, think im down with the kids, ridiculous, dated, hideous ugly clothes, ask people my age?? etc. PERSONAL attacks. I never claimed to be a fashion guru just gave my honest opinion on a BRAND - not a person.

I said I dont like Seasalt. The brand. Didn't attack any individual. You did.

Yes but Barbara could wear a bin bag and look sexy as f. Damn her.

Gosh aren't they both gorgeous. Yeh my mum really has pizzazz. No grey, just wild curly red hair too. She looks amazing.

seanconneryseyebrow · 22/10/2026 14:47

Huh? Where did I say all 70 year olds looks the same and like the same clothes? My mum is 75 and looks amazing and dresses v. funky in my opinion. Not a Seasalt item in sight.

Ffs.

Seasalt and other brands and items ARE aging. If people dont care about that then dont worry.
FWIW I fully embrace the mad, eccentric, art teacher vibe myself. Its a look I do well. :)
Unclench and wear your baggy dresses and wellies if you want. I couldn't give a fig.

I completely agree with you FWIW. My own mum wouldn't be caught dead in Seasalt.

I had one Seasalt dress in my 20's that looked quite cute and indie, but stopped wearing it by my 30's because I caught sight of my reflection looking like a tired 1950's housewife. (This one)

Their coats are brilliant. I have the Janelle one for standing watching both DSs play football in the rain and it’s excellent. It’s a shame they’ve stopped doing footwear. I’ve got a pair of boots and two pairs of sandals that I’ve worn to death and can’t replace now 🙁

StylishAndBeautiful · 22/10/2026 19:42

I completely agree with you FWIW. My own mum wouldn't be caught dead in Seasalt. Her loss. They have lots of different clothes.

Lovely - enjoy! I am looking forward to mine with chunky ankle boots, a neat jumper and perhaps a lambs wool gilet or fitted blazer.

An excellent buy!

Baldrapunzel · 22/10/2026 17:54

I'd have looked ridiculous in ditzy flower prints at my most beautiful 18 year old self (all downhill from there). I have a dear friend who rocks a pair of Lucy and Yak dungarees but she's an androgynous, ageless beauty. I'm a 6 footer with ginormous boobs so they're not going to work for me.

Can't wear docs, even though I've been covetting a pair of cherry red ones for decades and can't do converse because my awful, painful, misshapen feet need a raised instep.

So, I wear seasalt cord skirts with thick tights, or one of the artist smock style tops with leggings or jeans and fill the glorious pockets with conkers and sweeties, probably looking every single one of my frumpy 60 years.

I very much like the sound of you, @Baldrapunzel 😄

I live in their Lamledra cords autumn to spting. They tend to stretch a bit though so need a belt withnthem.

FunkyFringe · 22/10/2026 20:49

I love their Makers jumpers. Not wool, and they wash so well.

RogueFemale · 22/10/2026 21:09

@FlossieKirkpatrick I love their merino wool marl jumpers. www.seasaltcornwall.com/dawson-pick-merino-knitted-jumper They seem to be a staple item as I discovered them last year, and this year, the same jumpers just a few different colours. They're almost identical to a lovely Toast jumper I used to have, but better, because less than half the price and the 30% synthetic means the elbows don't get holes. Generous sizing. I should be a 16 because of large boobs but the 14 is fine.

P.S. Marl doesn't show cat hair.

If you have thin upper arms go for it. I fond their tops are either too tight on the arm, or if I size up, too big on the body. Shame as lovely clothes. Ive settled for the hats.

You have an excellent username. Your post is quite the let down.

Love their tunics I’m short so they work great as dresses for me with thick tights and boots. Wore one to work last week
