Trainers for A/w - what are you wearing?

I am so over this heat and v much looking forward to packing my sandals away until next year!
On that note, I’m looking to upgrade my everyday trainers and never quite know what’s currently trendy and comfy.
Are colours still in, or are we heading back towards neutrals? Not really a fan of anything too bold, but I do like richer autumnal tones burgundy, chocolate brown, dark green etc.
What are you all planning to wear this A/W? Any particular trainers you’d recommend? Would love some inspo!

I've bought Tigers for A/W

Canonlythinkofthisone · 15/08/2026 06:32

I have brown Adidas sambas from last AW that I don't plan on retiring yet. They are super comfy, go with everything and I just love them.

I already have the Adidas Speziales and going to buy the Onisuka Tigers

My friend was wearing these recently and I am eyeing a pair up for myself now. I was an avid Adidas girl but they’re everywhere now.

Another vote for onitsuka tigers , I’ve two pairs, these and the white colour way. They are hands down the comfiest trainers I’ve ever owned, hidden arch support, soft, and a more delicate profile.

I can also recommended the me and em ones., I have them in the tan and also cream which they don’t have any more, just that bit smarter than the tigers, but better with trousers,

Love these! What trousers/Jean shape do you wear with them?

Thanks. I generally wear them with straight leg or kick flare jeans. I dont think they suit wide leg. The zip is great because it makes them fit very snug round the ankles so no gap for your trousers to get stuck in.

Gettingbysomehow · 15/08/2026 10:35

They also look great with leggings and skirts.

Thanks for all the inspo everyone! I like a lot of these suggestions.
Very tempted by the tigers which I’ve never heard of before. The me and em ones also look like they’ll go with lots of outfits.

@BrainCancerAwareness. I like everyone wearing different things so normally don’t comment but they are quite something!

OnlyUsername · 15/08/2026 13:18

Converse - I have about 20 pairs. But aside from that I'll be wearing Puma Palermos in blue and dark purple I think? I don't really do plain trainers.

I have bought these to wear with barrel leg jeans in autumn.

Budge up. I’m with you on this

i’ve got some red trainers I brought in the late spring sale from Next. Not worn yet.

PineappleCandy · 15/08/2026 20:01

The same sketchers I've been wearing for the last several years. I didn't know buying new trainers every season was a thing...

The OP asked what people are planning to wear, not buy. No need to be snarky with the ellipsis.

Ilovemsrachel · 15/08/2026 20:21

Colours are out of fashion, if that’s something you care about. Chunky 90s style white trainers are big. New balance and Nike mostly.

CoffeeBotherer · 15/08/2026 20:30

Look up Rieker, I think they have a sale on some lines at the moment. Lots of designs so you're unlikely to see anyone else wearing your choice. Unusual and stylish. Comfortable. Some use side zips with false laces on the front. I think there are over half a dozen pairs in my house at present.
