Trainers for A/w - what are you wearing?

I am so over this heat and v much looking forward to packing my sandals away until next year!
On that note, I’m looking to upgrade my everyday trainers and never quite know what’s currently trendy and comfy.
Are colours still in, or are we heading back towards neutrals? Not really a fan of anything too bold, but I do like richer autumnal tones burgundy, chocolate brown, dark green etc.
What are you all planning to wear this A/W? Any particular trainers you’d recommend? Would love some inspo!

Thanks everyone for all your amazing suggestions! I ordered the brown and white Spezials due to the volume of recommendations for that style. There’s lots of colours at a discount on asos right now! I have also made note to DH for the tigers for my birthday in couple months time so I have a couple of pairs to choose from :)

Love some of the more unique suggestions too especially the platform Pumas someone linked a while back.

So glad I get to wear trainers to work and everywhere now. Just a few years ago I was in low heels pretty much every day… can’t bear the thought of that now! Its below 20 degrees for the first time in ages here next week so I’m excited to give my new trainers their debut!

I just love and always have loved all adidas orginals! I've just bought Adidas Superstars in a brown suede/cream as love my brown and cream spezials. They're nice with a wide leg and chunky jumper!!

I have noticed there are loads of what I would call summer-coloured trainers on offer (more than usual - I am a former footwear buying manager so I know the patterns). I guess we have all been in sandals!

I’ll be getting a new pair of VEJA volley. I’ve quite wide feet and gazelles and sambas pinch me . I love onitsuku tiger but I’ve been told they are not the broad of feet’s friend.

I’ll do my usual golden goose superstar peruse of course and then not buy them.

Has anyone got asics sky hand? But like tigers but more clumpy , I wondered if they would have a wider toe box than tigers?

I've got three pairs of these and am wearing them out.

@Gettingbysomehow I sell Rieker shoes and these have been some of our best sellers for the last few couple of A/W seasons 🤣 and they’re already proving popular this year again.

They’re not my cup of tea style wise but we try every style on and I have to say, they are very comfortable!

They are tan suede boots. Look like the antistress boots but paler and suede rather than leather.

What a weird comment. I’m going by what I’ve seen fashion students at central st Martin’s wearing this summer - not a coloured trainer in sight. She asked specifically if they were still in fashion. I personally don’t care but would dispute the notion that I’m not current!

I’m trying to avoid buying new trainers for autumn/winter, though I don’t know if I have the willpower!

I have a nearly new pair of Adidas Samba Janes (their sneakerina style) that I plan to continue wearing in early autumn. I also have:

Adidas Campus 00 in black with pink stripes.

Nike dunk low in white with greyish-green details in a sort of corduroy fabric. They’re from a couple of years ago and I love them. I think they can be worn year round.

I also have a pair of Nike Cortez that I haven’t worn yet. They are leather with suede details, and the Nike swoosh is perforated. I really like the look of them, they are slimmer than my other trainers. But I think I will save them for next spring/summer.

I'm not a fan of the "mum in her trainers" look if I am honest.

I have some for things like the park, but they are getting worn everywhere now: work, out for dinner. I suppose it's harmless if people find it comfortable.

I just bought a similar pair and love them. Mine were called red but are actually a light burgundy colour, and the cream trim is suede.

I will mostly be wearing green Dunlop wellies😆I love looking at all the trainers on this thread, there are some stunners. No use to me but maybe i could buy some to put on my mantlepiece and admire😂
