Beauty & Fragrance Advent Calendars- Info/Chat 2026 SPOILERS

Hi everyone who is joining from the Beauty GWP chat threads and welcome to anyone else.

Last year our lovely @BakeOffRewatch did an amazing job running all the threads through to December. This year due to the time commitment it takes, we're going to try and run them as a community effort.

Guidelines
I'm starting this first one but hoping that when a thread looks close to ending another thread member can set the next one up.

To avoid duplicate threads please try to post in the thread that's ending to alert everyone you're setting up a new one.

Other members check who was first to offer and whether a new one is live.

It might be an idea to keep a list of advents that are live in the OP and later on which are sold out. This can be copy/pasted/edited when a new thread is started.

It probably goes without saying but please be courteous and patient with each other. This thread will have spoilers and please no judging of others for their purchasing choices. Participation in the threads is optional.

I don't know how well this will work out but thanks in advance to everyone who helps out.

Thank you! I had a rubbish nights sleep last night and seeing the liberty advent calendar in my inbox really cheered me up. These threads are like a daily dose of joy so thank you soo much for setting it up. I will try to help with the community approach which is a great idea. The countdown really has begun! 🎄

I am quite impatient and with Beauty Detective going AWOL it’s harder to work out when we are expecting other adventures calendars to launch. I know Harrods is early August but I really can’t remember when the others launch. Any ideas?

Already torn - love the look and the bag but not sure I’m seeing many must haves - particularly in fragrance

I really want a great fragrance calendar

Email arrived this morning and couldn't have come at a better time!
It's my birthday today so have treated myself - I'm a Liberty beauty drop subscriber so got the discount applied automatically at checkout...I also had amassed £240 worth of 'savings' over the last year so used that as well...I also added Liberty to Topcashback and got £23 voucher applied to account ...so basically didn't have to pay anything more for advent calendar!

Thank you for the thread. Liberty is steadfastly refusing to send me emails about BD. I’d be oblivious without all of you here. The calendar isn’t floating my boat at the moment but I expect FOMO will kick in!

Thanks for setting up the threads, looking forward to all the contents reveals. Love the advent threads and how so many of us claim at this stage that we’re only getting the one calendar this year 😆

I need to buy less BAC this year but realistically I know I’ll get Harrods & SNK again (assuming contents are consistently good as previous years), and then I’ll say EITHER JL or HN but I did that last year and ended up with both! (Saying that, I’ve still not opened the JL)
I will try for Harrods FAC but not hopeful that I’ll be quick enough. I really liked HN FAC last year so keen to see their offering this year.

I need to ramp up usage of my current stash, with the amount I’ve got, I shouldn’t be buying any BAC or FAC at all this year!!

Not going to pretend I'll get just one but I would like to cut down from last year which I think was around 7 in the end. Some were sale ones but still ridiculous.

I'm aiming for just one 'major' one this year... we'll see how that goes! I did pick up the Lumene one last minute last year on a very good deal, after I'd bought others, so my willpower may again fail 😂

I was very interested last year to see what people did with their frankenstein calendars, and may try something similar, picking up the odd thing on vinted from calendars I don't fancy overall - I've kept my Liberty box from last year, so can fill that. So I'll be keeping a very close eye on what's in each calendar this year.

Thank you for starting this off, have been feeling genuinely elated since the Liberty ac announcement this morning (and excited for the future releases, particularly space NK), have pre-ordered, I love trying new fragrances and there’s enough skincare to keep me interested (plus a couple of old favourites), haven’t started a thread before but happy to give it a go if needed x

@Mejera I ended up buying a few calendars and then sold off what I didn't want, I found that if there was quite a few things I wanted, it was a cheaper way to do it. I did really enjoy doing a Frankenstein and already starting to think I should do it again 🙈

I'd love to try the Sisley cream from the liberty calendar and I love Fugazzi angel dust, plus I could keep 1 or 2 things then keep the box as my Frankenstein. I have credit and as a BD member, I'd get £25 off too, so it would be less then if I buy the Sisley cream. Oh man! I'm already trying to justify it 🤪

Haven’t had time to look at it in detail, but I’m not overly wowed by Liberty.

Ahem, I love the liberty this year but I’ve got the violette fr in exactly that shade, ditto the Lisa Eldridge product in that exact shade, and the ilia mascara…

they are great products! Clearly me and the liberty organisers were sympatico this year!

I like the Liberty calendar and will have enough BD credit to cover it by the end of the month but…. I’m not sure I’ll hit my use up 100 products by the end of the year goal and I don’t buy a calendar unless I hit that. I’m 40/100, maybe I need to get going on the sample sizes to accelerate it!

Oh and also have the jones road miracle balm and the trinny eye…good selection of make up…
