Beauty & Fragrance Advent Calendars- Info/Chat 2026 SPOILERS

Hi everyone who is joining from the Beauty GWP chat threads and welcome to anyone else.

Last year our lovely @BakeOffRewatch did an amazing job running all the threads through to December. This year due to the time commitment it takes, we're going to try and run them as a community effort.

Guidelines
I'm starting this first one but hoping that when a thread looks close to ending another thread member can set the next one up.

To avoid duplicate threads please try to post in the thread that's ending to alert everyone you're setting up a new one.

Other members check who was first to offer and whether a new one is live.

It might be an idea to keep a list of advents that are live in the OP and later on which are sold out. This can be copy/pasted/edited when a new thread is started.

It probably goes without saying but please be courteous and patient with each other. This thread will have spoilers and please no judging of others for their purchasing choices. Participation in the threads is optional.

I don't know how well this will work out but thanks in advance to everyone who helps out.

Oh I like the K18 mask and it seems to be helping with breakage, but i did take a cue from Abbey Yung and I do conditioner as normal after using it - I doubt I'd like it otherwise. If you did decide to sell yours I'd be interested depending on the price 😁 half the ones on vinted are fake 🤦🏻‍♀️

Do we need a volunteer to stake out Harrods for their BACS.
Im thinking if one of us gets there at 5am the day they're released, might we be one of the first in the queue?
Just wondering if we'd also need protective headgear & boxing gloves just in case 🤔😂

Very excited to read that Harvey Nichols are releasing BAC & FAC again this year! I’m looking forward to seeing their offerings - their FAC was my favourite fragrance one last year 😃

I am also thinking that due to the sheer volume of stuff I have, I’m going to adopt PP’s approach (sorry can’t recall who it was) of opening 1 drawer per week, and I’ll do FAC 1 per month, so I can get a good bit of use from each product. Obviously I’ll have multiple calendars, so there will be some overlap 😁

Last year I managed to get a Harrods fragrance calendar after spotting posts on this thread saying it was available on the app. I was expecting it to be released the following day so would have missed out if I wasn’t following the thread. Think I ordered it around 11am at the very beginning of August

It was someone on Instagram that opened it each week. I'm thinking of doing the same and then wearing that fragrance for the full week 💃🏻 if I get it. I keep assuming that I will 🙈🤣 I'm trying to not get too hopeful, incase I'm not lucky this year.

Me too. I remember that my phone storage was full so I had to delete a load of stuff before I could download the app and part of me was thinking that I should just wait til it's on the website. So glad I didn't 🤣

So many people missed out because Harrods made out the calendar was being released the following day so we were lucky. I hope we manage to grab one this year too, even though I really don’t need more fragrances! 😂

I have gone mad on perfume this last year thanks to this thread 🙀 so I really must not get a fragrance calendar! (Tempted by the idea of a LF one, though!)

I’m safe from the Harrods fragrance as I dislike 99% of niche perfume based on all those I have ever tried. I am sending you all good thoughts in your quest for it, though.

BTW: No one answered my query about Liberty selling other brand calendars. Is that because they don’t?

I might pop to Liberty and have an experimental sniff of all the perfumes in this year’s calendar. (I did this before buying the 2025 calendar so knew which ones to sell without having to spray them to try!) I am in London for the JL event on 17/7 so that might be a good day to do it.

I don’t mind the Molecules 01, dislike the Liberty Tana and the DS Debaser and loathe the Bibbi, but am not familiar with the rest.

Does anyone know if last year’s Liberty GWP stacked with a calendar purchase?

If it did, I wouldn’t mind buying the calendar and swapping out the 10+ DOD and replacing them with stuff from the GWP, (if it was good). I would then attempt to sell the DOD contents on eBay.

I bought the Rituals wreath one last year , I compared the two different ones (main difference was the more£ had a soap bar and handwash ) . Then I got a 10% discount in Boots for the wreath (and bought the soap on its own )

It was nice to try the different fragrances and rule out some I wasn't keen on. But reinforced that I was right to stick with my old favourite Sakura.

Libwrty 24: Mz skin soothe and smooth eye cream, Dr Sebagh rose de vie serum, Lisa Eldridge liquid silk eye shimmer, ren brightening dark circles eye cream and Davines oi milk from the ( eye cream and serum from Vinted!) . I really loved the 24 calendar!

I want to buy some more mirror water as loved that too.

I bought a few things from the Space NK and JL calendars off Vinted and liked the Le Labo the noir perfume and Laura Mercier eyeshadow sticks which I have repurchased.

I am a baby on the BAC front, have only tried two.

Cath Kidston - nothing! Everything was fine, travel sizes of hand cream and shower gel
and so on, but nothing was amazing.

Lumene - the Nordic C Glow Boost Essence and the Nordic Bloom Night Moisturiser

I’ve repeat bought more than one Surratt Lipslique lipstick after getting one in a calendar and the Byredo lipstick in Commuter. It was an advent calendar that converted me to Chantecaille Faux Cils mascara and I haven’t worn anything else since - I wish it wasn’t so obscenely expensive. The only fragrance I’ve loved enough to buy is Vilhelm Peony Couture.

I think from HN beauty 2025. I was ranting that a beauty advent had toothpaste but I love it! Marvis whitening toothpaste. And the le Labo eucalyptus perfume.

From liberty 2025 there are still a considerable amount of products that I haven’t yet tried but from what I have tried nothing I would RP.

HN fragrance 2025 remains unopened.

From liberty 2024. Votary sensitive resurfacing peel. I loved this and have not just finished it. I have a lot of masks but this is a RP. AB the rich cream. I love this when my skin is very dry and struggling. I actually purchased the cream after trying this which is much more suited for everyday use with my skin type.

Harrods beauty 2024. There are still quite a few products I haven’t tried but nothing so far that I would RP.

Harrods fragrance 2024. I’m still working my way through this but I love creed queen of skin and PDM oriana (wearing this today).

It was interesting doing this. I always think I love the liberty advent calendar but actually the one I’ve liked the most has been HN. It also tells me that I really need to try some of these products that I’ve had in my stash for far too long!

AB Rich Cream and AB Retinol serum is probably most repurchased after trying from an AC.

Medik8 Vit C and the Liquid Peptides advanced but I think I had tried both these before getting them from advents.

Armani eye tints, I've bought a couple more since as they are really good.

La Prairie foam cleanser (most people don't seem to like this but I do). I haven't repurchased it at RRP but I've scooped up other edits that also had it.

There's quite a few perfumes that I've discovered in advents that could become repurchases should I ever run out. PDM Valaya and Delina, Ex Nihilo Brompton Immortals immediately spring to mind.

Edit to add - just remembered I rp the U Beauty Resurfacing Compound from last year's Harrods AC.

@JoRaRaRa I would probably rp the Moncho Moreno Bond Spray. It smells lovely and mine is nearly done. I have a few more sprays to get through first though.

Rebought from previous advent calendars - same as others, I've been converted to AB rich cream and retinol serum!

Also from last year's Elle calendar, Pers Vitamin C serum. I love this, by far my favourite Vit C serum so far - Harrods did sell it, but stopped a couple of months ago 😢 It looks like it was also in last years French Pharmacy calendar, and they still sell it separately, so i might have a look at their offering this year.

@26inprogress - I just really like the Zelens B12 - it makes my skin feel really smooth and I use it with the Nocturne, (the latter on hands/arms/feet when I feel like a bit of night-time pampering!

Re: MZ eye cream from Liberty 25: I REALLY like this, but no way am I repurchasing at that price! I am using it atm and will be sad when it finishes!

I forgot one other thing I did repurchase from the Clarins 2023/24 calendar: The flash balm - I don’t quite understand what it actually does, but I like the way it feels on my skin!

I have repurchased the EGF bioeffect serum but I bought from Vinted for a bargain price. Wouldn’t pay full price for it, even though I love it.
Also repurchased the MZ eye cream that was in last year’s Harrods calendar, the U beauty resurfacing compound and the Shiseido moisturiser, all from Vinted.
