It’s so gorgeous:

For the reception I haven’t decided, but possibly a dress from here:

Ho hum - I’ll have to hit the apps. 😄

(Very sorry, I don’t have a question.)

Oh dear, I can't think who would look good in this strange outfit!

SliceofTosst · 19/05/2026 06:15

Looks like air is being blown up the sleeves and have wire in them.

AImportantMermaid · 19/05/2026 06:19

That bride has had enough of everyone’s shit 😂

DrRylandGrace · 19/05/2026 06:19

Why is the model posing like a penguin?

JulietSierra · 19/05/2026 06:19

Oh my word that dress is …. Interesting 😂😂

Shoola · 19/05/2026 06:20

It looks like something from a horror movie.

£2k for that monstrosity, jeepers.

And £3k to look like I walked out of Top Shop in the 80’s… which I did many times!

Tocsin · 19/05/2026 06:28

Fortunately, @KojaksLollipop I actually like spending money on clothes.

Looking like I’d walked out of Topshop in the eighties would be golden - and yes I did, too. But I’d never noticed Magda Butrym giving that vibe. The clothes are far, far too complex.

That is truly awful and they are not selling it with the picture! 🤣

eurochick · 19/05/2026 06:42

Each to their own. And that is not mine.

It is a dreadful dress.

Unfortunately even though we may ‘recognise’ that it doesn’t make it nice.

Tocsin · 19/05/2026 06:59

You missed the word ‘enthusiast’ …

OP posts:

But I genuinely would love the first dress for a civil ceremony (if I hadn’t got round to saving up for vintage Dior or McQueen, which I probably wouldn’t have). It’s weird to think strangers seeing me going in or out would be thinking how dreadful I looked. Despite how delighted I’d be with my image in the mirror.

Hmm, maybe not Top Shop, but I definitely had more than one of those dresses in the 80’s, I have photographic evidence of it too, oh dear!

I love the skirt and body but I’d have the have the sleeves tapered - sorry!1

BurnTheWholeThingDown · 19/05/2026 07:16

Somehow that dress isn’t the ugliest one in their wedding ranges, by quite a way. I can’t work out if it’s a pisstake website. Actually I know it isn’t, but honestly this is the epitome of ‘we saw you coming’.

treetophome · 19/05/2026 07:19

Good Lord, she looks like nurse Ratched has just plucked a Christmas turkey

PleaseAccepyMyUserNames · 19/05/2026 07:40

I hadn't heard of Cawley, but absolutely love every single item in the bridal gallery!!! Now fantasising about working some of the veils and that gorgeous skirt into my everyday wardrobe...

thedevilinablackdress · 19/05/2026 07:45

I like it, it's not boring. The styling clearly lets you know that this is not entry level fashion for beginners 😁
The party dresses on the 2nd website are perfect, daydreaming about a green taffeta strapless Topshop I wore to my graduation ball. I am just starting on watching Rivals and I just love the 80s aesthetic.

PrizedPickledPopcorn · 19/05/2026 07:47

At least they make them to order. There won’t be many made that aren’t wanted.

Homebirdy · 19/05/2026 07:48

Im convinced ‘fashion’ is designed to keep women from looking in anyway like a normal, functioning part of society just so men have an excuse not to take us seriously.

PumpkinsAndCoconuts · 19/05/2026 07:52

For those who have always wanted to look like an overgrown toddler on their wedding day.

or a comedia dell’arte extra…

Not my cup of tea at all, OP. I honestly struggle to believe that anyone would want to buy these…

but you might find my wedding dress dreadfully boring… but I happen to love it! Which is what matters. So wear whatever your heart desires (well, within the bounds of legality, possible financial constraints etc…)! 🤷‍♀️

I’m already married, but maybe I should wear it to my son’s wedding one day. I’ll practice that facial expression in the meantime.
