I hardly post in this topic but read it frequently and thought it would be interesting to see what recommendations you got from here that turned out to be great. I always prefer to come here instead of reading reviews that could be paid for. These are the two I’m forever grateful for

Ancient & Brave true collagen- seeing results after 5 months, will continue

Dermatica- completely eradicated acne that I had for 30 years and tried every blood cream and diet going!

Rosehip oil for fine lines

Nomorecoconutboosts · 20/08/2025 21:48

I got a ‘school run dress’ many years ago. Navy linen mix with front pockets, Next, just above the knee.
never wore on school run but it (and several similar ones) have become a heat wave or holiday staple, really suit me. Slightly fitted not baggy but skim a bit over the stomach area. Can be dressed up or down, add a jacket if needed for work.
I’ll try to post a photo

Oh and tubing mascara, massive reduction in smudges under eyes.

UnfashionableArtex · 20/08/2025 21:51

White vinegar instead of fabric conditioner.

DesparatePragmatist · 20/08/2025 22:07

Linen PJs and bedding

greengreyblue · 20/08/2025 22:09

Putting bedding sets inside one of the pillowcases for organised linen storage.

I was going to post about pillowcases then realised it was style and beauty! I found recommendations for some Instagram accounts which really helped me find my mojo again when I was in a bit of a style rut. And I think I first discovered tubing mascara on here.

Oh silly me. I just scrolled down active posts! Though mine are stylish and beautiful pillowcases. 😉

A little fake tan on my face to give a little glow and look less tired.

Phillips Lumea for laser hair removal has been a game changer as I now hardly need to shave my legs, going from daily to almost never.

Ladedahlia · 20/08/2025 22:22

What is tubing mascara? 😳

Zebracat · 20/08/2025 22:52

Wirarpa knickers from Amazon . Thick quality cotton, wash like a dream.

DollytheShape · 20/08/2025 22:56

Phillips Lumea
OPI Nail Envy - for a while it was the darling of this board and then people went off it, not sure why

Adalae jeans

Ryanhairbag · 20/08/2025 23:00

Erborian BB cream. It just works and is way better than foundation now for my perimenopausal skin

WingBingo · 20/08/2025 23:00

Oh yes to the tubing mascara. No more panda eyes, ever!

Silk pillow cases and YSL skincare. Oh and retinol.

LupaMoonhowl · 20/08/2025 23:03

Dermatica -get loads of compliments about my skin.

LupaMoonhowl · 20/08/2025 23:04

Also Eborian! 😀

cosietea · 20/08/2025 23:05

Oh yeah also the Phillips Lumea. Reduced my sneaky facials to barely anything!

I got the Wirapa chub rub shorts after a recommendation on MN, they are amazing! Cotton, but with a gusset that doesn't have seams in sensitive places, you don't need to wear other knickers under them. They don't roll down, or up, you put them on and forget about them.

Appalonia · 20/08/2025 23:13

Korean skin care. Game changer!

cosietea · 20/08/2025 23:14

@Appalonia I keep hearing about this. What do you use? What difference have you seen?

DrDisrespect · 20/08/2025 23:43

Using dettol anti bac bar soap. Less sweaty pits through the day, and less lingering/stubborn sweaty pits in clothes

RomainingCalm · 21/08/2025 00:25

Revlon hair styler, far better than my Big Hair styler although I think that was also a MN recommendation many years ago. 😬
